I would have considered going too had I realised in advance. Instead, I have to work. There are probably not that many chances left to see O'Sullivan in full flow in this country as he comes to the twilight of his career.
Yep, that’s what I thought. Done that with a few bands down the years, oh I’ll go and see them next time then it never comes round.

His twilight is different to mere mortals it seems. Toys with his prey before putting them to the sword at his convenience.
At odds of 11/4 at the up coming Worlds I see him as a huge cert to not make Hendry's day and go beyond his coveted 7 world titles and raise the bar to 8. When O'Sullivan really wants something and cuts out all the crying and nonsense he is almost unbeatable. Even going on 50 years of age.

The length of matches at the World Championships could be his undoing. So much prolonged concentration needed.
He's still the best though. I recorded one break he did against Wilson and it's the way he removes blocking reds around the pink and black spots so early and effortlessly in his breaks that distinguishes him from the rest of the players. His thinking is way more advanced than the average pro even before you compare their shot execution.
