Scott Benton

I was stood next to a man in the away end this evening who looked remarkably like Scott Benton MP. Our fans started chanting ‘f*** the tories’ to which he turned to his friend and laughingly chanted ‘get a job, get a job, get a job’.

No surprises, but what a disgraceful way to view your own constituents and another on an endless list of reasons why he should have no association with Blackpool.

So have a pop then cry when you get a reaction?

To confirm, the chant was not at him - but at the Bromley fans. His reply was purely denigrating his own constituents.
I'm no Tory, never have been but it sounds to me like he was there to support the team. Does he not have a right to do that and furthermore does he not have the right to join in with the banter? Suggest that you need to find something useful to focus on.

Rumour has it he was trying to tout his ticket to shady foreign powers before the game. He allegedly caught on camera saying

"It's no problem, yeah, look for just a few thousand pounds I can get you within feet of Tashan Oakley Boothe and Jake Beesley. Yes, both of them. I know! It's barely believable isn't it?... No, sadly Doug Tharme won't be there.... "

Let's be clear here, Scott Benton is a disgraceful excuse for an MP whose CV includes:

- having the party whip suspended for reportedly offering to lobby the government on behalf of gambling companies

- allegedly leaking confidential documents and information to said companies

- regularly tweeting slurs and childish criticisms to his own constituents online including making fun of people due to their weight, perceived intelligence, etc, before quicky deleting the posts

- accepting tickets to top sporting events by betting and gambling companies

Whatever your politics, his track record for sleaze is abysmal and we should be only too glad when he is ousted so that he can no longer tarnish this town's good name as the people of Blackpool South deserve better.

Still better than Marsbar

He sounds like he was born in South Shore.
Dyed in the wool......could have gone to Palatine with a CV like that....

"F*** the Tories" seems rather a strange thing to chant at the Bromley fans

If it looks like Bullshit, smells like bullshit and tastes like bullshit, it's probably bullshit so I'm calling Bullshit on your claim the chant by an segment group of our fans was aimed at the Bromley fans rather than an MP who was passionate enough about his constituency to turn up and support it's team

All you need to know about Bentone.

MP backed fight against 'awful' WIFI mast - 'but took cash from firm behind it'

Never again FY4. The Tories are taking you for a ride. Drink their beer if you have to but don't vote for the scumbags.
