Our last 'really big' win?

Scrafters talking in the Gazette about taking our chances and inflicting a serious defeat on an opponent, what would you say was our last really big, convincing week.

Last I remember is when we beat Bradford 5-0, can't remember the year, but think it was near the start of the NAPM years.

We pasted Morecambe in what is now the Papa Johns trophy last season. Just gandered and we had 19 shots, with 11 on target.

Think the chant would go something like: "5 - 1, EVEN NUTTALL SCORED. 5 - 1, EVEN NUTTAL SCORED"

We beat Bristol City 5-0 at home in October 2011. With every goal that went in more left, and we were still singing to them as they trudged over the bridge.

A handful of youngsters were singing "City Till I Die" as we left the Stadium -- they were real fans!

Ipswich 6-0. Early in the 2012/13 season. An absolute demolition job. Think we might have beaten Scunthorpe 5 or 6 nil about four years ago, but I wasn't paying much attention then. Napm.
Thats 's the one. I knew we absolutely pasted Ipswich in the Championship, just couldn't think of the year

There are some cracking memories in this thread , but don't forget we beat Swansea 5-1 at home in 2010. I also remember us beating Torquay Utd 5-0 and then a few weeks later beating Scunny 6-0 2001? Half time in the Scunny game I won the Golden Gamble , from memory it was around £250 and had to split it with a mate 50/50. Also some clown told the wife, so I saw very little of the money, having to treat the family to a meal. 🙄 Not that I was annoyed then or now *&%"!)*.

I think I might have gone to that but have no memory of the score whatsoever

What a day that was....my overriding memory was of the Swans fans lining the road and clapping us off as we were on the park and ride buses going back to the car park.

Funnily enough i was on Total Wipeout which was filmed in Argentina in 2010 and there was a Swansea fan on the show too...and he was saying how all the Swans fans enjoyed that day too even though it blocked their PO hopes...and it just seemed natural for them to clap us!

Few results over the years can quite match,

Preston 0 Blackpool 7 with Jimmy McIntosh scoring 5.

In more recent times the result against Ipswich and perhaps one day we will win at there place for the first since the the early sixties.

I was on holiday in Florida for that fixture with no internet availability for the game. Walked into a random bar and the barman had a Villa shirt on. I asked him if he knew any footie scores and he said which team do you follow? When i mentioned the Pool he said you're winning 5-2 or 5-3! He pointed me in the direction of a laptop that had the Soccer Saturday show on and i was gobsmacked. Couldn't believe the final scoreline.

3-0 up by half time last season away at Southend. Second game of the season. I thought we were world beaters

Yes, we were in a mini bus and we're a bit worried when we left because the year before they had beaten us and they threw stones and coins at us and the bus with one idiot trying to force us off the road for a fight. Crazy people.

Funny you say demolition job but in my opinion the scoreline was really harsh on Ipswich. We played miles that season in other games and got 2-1 wins.

I remember us beating Carlisle 6-0 in 1991 on a cold Tuesday night not too long after king Billy was appointed

Must say 0-2 I thought we would go on and win by 4 or 5 - the Donny commentator called it though - the 10 mins after half time when you're 2-0 up is a crucial time and we looked half asleep.
