Correct there are issues in the supply chain due to huge demand and Covid

The salesman will come round give you a talk on why they are the best showing you samples and then measure up and then spend about twenty minutes punching numbers into his calculator. Be prepared. We pretty much get their newspaper thru our door every other week so looking at what they provide you can get a ball park figure yourself. The salesman will then quote a figure which no doubt will be thousands over the figure you have. I then told him I'd got the paper and his quote was miles over the top without telling him the figure I had. He'll then punch more numbers in and you just have to be hard nosed with him as he's trying to be with you. Remember he's on commission so he's out to screw you for as much as he can get.. So yep get him down to a figure your happy to pay based on your own calculations.

I do need a couple of windows replacing and foolishly engaged with a guy a couple of months ago. I felt for him but ultimately just told him I don't want someone round my house. I'll call them. That's a crap job going door to door doing that shite.

Just to be clear, I contacted WD myself and arranged an appointment for them to call round. It wasn't a door to door salesman.
 
You can get the same german windows as supplied by Dale Reeves cheaper from Simply Trade on Red Marsh estate
 
Can I just bump this thread and ask for any more recommendations. Ive tried some of the fellas on this thread and theyre either booked up,turned up gave me a quote and never returned or didnt turn up at all.

Im basically looking for one window at the front replacing which ive already got in the garage and fascias,soffits and cladding doing.

Any recommendations really appreciated. Thanks
