BFCx3 is a moderator. Selectively deleting comments on personal insults thread and then locking it. Comments deleted make him appear righteous, and the retorts removed.

I wonder how long this lasts???

is he really?. Doesn'r surprise me. Said it many times, total lack of transparency and it was blatantly obvious this site wasn't being moderated by two guys from M'boro. Another cover up.

Just wondering how you know this and also why there is not transparency?

Tell you what 20s, you moderate it and let everyone know, see how much of a picnic that is for you.

If BFCx3 is a mod, then he didn't stick to his own rules when personally insulting me. Not that I care, thick skinned.

That is exactly one of the points. He gets away with far more abuse than any other poster.

When called out he deletes my retorts that make him look bad and leaves his posts making me look a bigger tw@t than I am normally, and then locks the thread.
 
Apart from a handful of posters that continually wang on about being censored or temporarily banned, does anyone really care who moderates the Board?

What a thankless job having to read all the nonsense that this Board spews out on a daily basis.

Don't shift the debate, I've no interest in being a mod and acknowledge it's a thankless task but that's not my point. A few times recently the question of transparency has been made and people have stated that no avftt posters moderate this board. That was blatantly obvious not to be the case. And as cruzzer has pointed out bfc3 has done more than his fair share of personal insults so clearly a lot of hypocrisy and double standards from him.
And spudgun, when the moderation is heavily loaded one way, then yep, it's more than reasonable that there needs to be a transparency about who the mods are..

So if you were a mod you'd be happy to let it be known? It's not shifting the debate.

I think the avftt post is from the site owners and, although I agree it could be clearer, I suspect they are saying they don’t monitor day to day and only get involved if there’s a report.

My understanding was that for day to day monitoring there are posters who are also mods. As there always have been.

By the way if the BST Secretary is who I think it is I don’t believe that person is a mod. I have a sneaking suspicion that I know at least one person who might be and, if I was right, it’d surprise a lot of people. But I’m obviously not going to speculate. It’ll cost at least three pints once the pubs have reopened.

Of course it's shifting the debate, there is no "if" as i would never be a mod. And that quote confirms nothing.

You're avoiding the question, do you think it's a good idea that long term posters who moderate this site are open about it? Do you think this would add the fairness and balance to the board that you believe is somehow lacking and how?

Is it not also a possibility that open moderators would lead to more accusations of bias? How would that help the site?

If you have no interest in being a mod why the obsession with who is?

yes,yes, it is already heavily biased, transparency and transparency again.

Apologies to @cruzzer, he contacted us to say that we'd left posts on a previous thread which put him in a bad light. We have said we only ever look at posts that are Reported and not the entire thread as it would take too long. We have amended that now.
There are no Moderators as such on this site, we act on your Reports and nothing else. On that basis we can confirm the o/p is incorrect in what he's saying and will lock this thread to avoid further accusations.
