Yes, I think that was one of my favourite Hard Knocks in recent years.

I’m glad Stefanski is making a go of it. It became same old Browns with Kitchens. I don’t think I’ll ever understand that appointment.

Paul DePodesta (bloke involved with Moneyball and analytics) is our chief strategy officer, he wanted Stefanski last season (before we hired Kitchens). I can only dream how far along we would be if we'd appointed KS last season...

I've got a mate who lives in Chicago who is the double of Freddie Kitchens so I always liked him. He wasn't the right guy at that time I agree. He seemed out of his depth.

And who needs Stefanski?!! Surely Mike Priefer keeps the job now?!

The game after Garrett and Rudolph’s scrap, when he wore that “the Steelers started it” T shirt. There were no words for that.

Where’s his statue going. 😂

NO giving 11 and under 48

If only I'd seen this before MAC.

I went for over 48 and my lucky run ended, I never looked winning.

I stopped watching it just before the end when it was 21-3 and was thinking NO would win giving the start but then saw later on that it finished 21-9, I can't see how they could have kicked 2 field goals so can only think they missed the extra point but either way both your selections copped and mine was a mile away.

Naturally I was going to back overs in the final game but decided that it was too late and it finished 48-37.

I can't say I'm a big Gridiron man but already looking forward to next week and I will listen to your advice this time.

We didn't bother taking the PAT, the TD was the last play of the game, Graham caught the ball in the end zone as the clock hit zero...... he literally walked straight off the field and down the tunnel.

Massive clear out coming for the Bears (I hope).

Nah I think the Steelers will win comfortably. Big Ben is the fittest he's been for years and they've just been winning every week under the radar. He seems to be hitting Claypool and Smith-Shuster with ease.

The Browns are a shit or bust outfit. They are either all in or all out usually down to the cocky upstart QB and huge ego'd WRs.
No surprise for me - steelers are not that good. They are my team and so have watched every game this season and they are more of a 7-9 team in reality. An easy schedule and extremely fortunate in some games.

They will play it out with the bengals next season for bottom of the afc North.

Need to move on from Ben, more than anything I thought you looked really rusty last night.

Trouble will be, Ben's got $31 M on his last year, next year. You're too low to draft a stellar QB and you cant trade for a decent one whilst having Ben sat there on that money.

Yes not a good place to be in for the Steelers, Ben now on the decline big time but contractually the Steelers are stuck with him.

Thanks Finest, I thought as much.

Not sure those who backed his side with 11 start and were about to get their dough back would have been made up mind.

They’re generally a well run organisation, tough choice now.

I honestly don’t see how you move him on, and it’d be toxic to have him there with the QB of the future.

My first ever ton on the NFL. Clearly the word is spreading.

As I go into every season with an attitude of "Anyone But Pittsburgh" I am pretty happy with how that weekend went.

Points :

  • I think the AFC continues to be a good bit stronger than the NFC
  • The Buccs looked very good offensively, the GOAT is right at it at the moment (when isn't he in January?)
  • That first quarter in Pittsburgh was insane
  • Heinecke played great, where on earth did he come from?
  • Rams looked back to their 2018 best
  • I thought the Saints made hard work of things - they are possibly the best balanced in the NFC but.....

Roll on the weekend. Some brilliant games to look forward to.

Why the dislike of the Steelers? As a Bears fan I always look to them as the franchise we should be emulating, instead of stumbling from one mess to another with the occasional flirt with the play offs every few years.
Rams D looks capable of taking them a long way, but their Offence will stutter once they come up against better teams.
I can see the Packers winning it all, sadly - anyone but the Packers.

I'm a Pats fan BF. Hating the Steelers is compulsory.

I've now moved on to Anyone But Aaron Rogers. 😀

The D is loaded but has seriously lost its way under Pagano.
We were THE D under Fangio, but have regressed massively since he left. We don't even bother covering anyone over the middle anymore. Brees, Like Rodgers last week is gonna have a field day tonight.
We're a mediocre team who have absolutely no reason to be playing top tier teams in the play offs.
There you go, the football gods were listening.

They needed to move on from Ben about 6 years ago but the decision was made and for that they have suffered. He's a great QB but time and injuries had the best of him in the mid 2010's.

This year has been intriguing as for me there is no "outstanding" team. Whilst the Ravens, Chiefs, Saints are on paper are sublime I don't see that any of those teams have performed to the standards of last season and yet the Rams and Packers certainly look like they are beginning to look really strong.

I'd put New Tampa on a level below with the Bills.

Oh and then Cleveland. Who will, now I've just typed all this beat the Chiefs and go on..........

Hopefully the Packers home advantage will get them through to the SB - I imagine Lambeau in January is not a pleasant away day.

That’s probably as far as they’ll go though, the AFC is much stronger this season.

Also, why the dislike of the Packers and Rodgers on here?

I like the look he has : 70s Porn Star Meets Huckleberry Hound. But my main objection has always been that he is not the GOAT.

Right, predictions for the weekend :

AFC :

Chiefs 38 Browns 28
Bills 31 Ravens 35

NFC :

Packers 28 Rams 20
Saints 20 Buccaneers 27

With absolutely no confidence whatsoever.

I'd probably have the saints but agree with others.

I've a feeling the ravens will beat the chiefs in the afc championship game as well.

This weekend though is so hard to call, but loving this season.

The Packers offensive D line was just phenominal last night. The Packers breezed through. Will take some team to stop them.

The O line was pretty impressive too. Rodgers was hardly troubled all night.

edit... just actually read what you’ve put.. doh!

What the hell was that last drive about for the Browns. Awful.

Be interesting to see if Mahomes is fit next week. Didn't look good.

Browns blew a great opportunity to progress.

I feel sorry for Brees. He's had a great career and if that is the end of it, it was a very anti-climactic way to go out. I thought the Saints were the best balanced side in the NFC this year, but they weren't the team in the best form in January. The Pack v the Buccs is a hard one to call next week ; I think home advantage will probably shade it.

Whether Mahomes plays for not next week is clearly key, as I am not sure the Chiefs will win without him ; the Bills look very good in all phases of the game and will take all the beating now.

They should be great games. If I had to pick an overall winner at the moment, I think it would be the Bills.

Yes, very sad to see Brees go out like that, with a bit of a whimper. Should be remembered as one of a great three of his era with Brady and Manning.

All just goes to show that it's a QB driven league, now more than ever. Saints are in for a lean year next year, cap hell and need a QB.

Just have a feeling Buffalo are going to win it all.
