o/t Banning 60+ from football grounds

Go and ask landlords, restauranteurs, actors, hoteliers or concert promotors if this is a joke. They're suffering big time because of draconian rules that never applied to 'normal' respiratory viruses like flu or pneumonia. The notion that we stop the world because a small percentage of old people are at threat, when said percentage can just adapt and protect themselves and allow the rest of us to have fun, is mental.

Young people have to pay more for car insurance because they're deemed a bigger risk. Why shouldn't older people at more risk also have to pay extra to cover the additional safety costs?
Clearly you weren’t joking last night as seen by your mornings “work” on here.
What's your next suggestion...compulsory euthanasia for anyone over state pension age.

Interesting idea!

'Pool might be missing a trick here. By introducing a 'Dignitas' section they could flog tickets and save people £ hundreds on a one way trip to Switzerland. That said, they would probably only get away with selling a carnet of six games...or a half season ticket at best.

It's a bloody stupid and completely arbitrary idea anyway ; I'm fitter now than I was twenty years ago.

I can only think some oldie got in SATW's way when he was queuing up for his avocado and peach medley.

Simple solution.
The club offers testing (for a small fee) to clear all fans before each home game..

No test - no entry.. 😉

God, what a really poor and depressing thread this is, with some really poor posts from a body of fans that are supposed to have a common cause - Blackpool FC. Not much common cause here. I am beginning to think closed door matches might be the best solution 🙁

Of course we did, being born after WW2 meant we were the golden generation:
One bath a week, no showers then;
scraped the ice of our windows, no central heating;
caned at school, didn't harm us !;
food and clothing rationed;
eat it or go hungry, no choice;
No TV until 1953 then one channel in black and white;
No pop music on radio, the devils music;
Very few parents with cars;
Gas lit streets;
Didn't dare litter we put it in our pocket;
recycled bottles, not a new idea;
Tipped our school cap to ladies;
Looked up to seniors;
Did as the bobby told us.

Then, when we started work
Still got an occasional cuff around the ear if things weren't done correctly,
Shouted at by the boss;
Worked very long hours, in my case, on average, 60 hours a week;
Still no takeaways, fish and chips apart.

I'm sure some of the other old crumblies, or should that be pillars of society, can add to the list, but as you can see we are still going and have certain standards that are missing in a lot of people these days.

Yes, they were the Golden Days.
Wilf, you forgot 'National Service'. Dragged away from your home screaming how unfair life was.
Personally I loved it. 😄

Some valid points. After getting the strap by a one handed Headmaster at primary school in front of the whole class I moved to Secondary school [section removed]

Then at work I would regularly get punched. On one occasion I had a cigarette stubbed out on my arm.

Now it boils my piss watching these WOKE entitled kids that think the World owes them a living😡
