What would be your choice ?

I think this takes some beating with all its connotations.

Even reduces one on the principals to tears

Marching on Together which goes up many levels when its a game with something at stake.

Sorry but it works for me although I'll forego the link out of respect to you guys.

For me this is Morricone's best work - so many others though of course ...

The guitar in this is pure Morricone and would be pretty high on my list. There's just something magical about it. Never fails to get me this.

Ennio Morricone's Gabriels Oboe is one of the most beautiful pieces of music for me. Was my first dance when I was married. (from the film The Mission and also used back in the day by the BBC for the Grand National)

Well we could get all comical here and suggest maybe Russ Conway’s piano solo version of ELP’s ‘Fanfare for the common man’ Great! But in all seriousness I’d go for Elgar’s Nimrod. Bliss.

Also this, a great theme and possibly the most vicious opening to a film, Danny Boyle picks some ** tunes

Hans Zimmer and Christopher Nolan this time, sorry for spamming with films but a great theme from one of THE great films and still easier to understand than Tenet 😀

Great shout from td53 with Public Image. WtF is Take That doing on this thread though?! I'll go for this track off the Closer album by Joy Division, bit of a cliche but it's a wonderful album in my opinion, emotionally intense obviously, every track...

Brilliant stuff Voy, this is still my favourite JD track, that ** guitar at 50 seconds that breaks the claustrophobia.....

Big shout out for this 60 mins special on BBC2:
Merry Christmas Baby - with Gregory Porter & Friends

Watch it on catch-up on Christmas Night

Wonderful 😀

A Fine Frenzy - Red Ribbon Foxes (from the wonderful ‘Oh blue Christmas’ mini album)

Amanda Marshall - Dark Horse (from the amazing self-titled album. You can’t please everyone all the time. Could be a soundtrack for this board)

Kim Kuzma - River

Kim Richey - If you don’t mind (remade from the excellent Glimmer album)

Gretchen Peters - On a bus to St Cloud

Grey Eye Glances - Angel

Marc Cohn - Walking in Memphis

Melissa Etheridge - Shriner’s Park

Beyond Temptation (feat. Tarja) - Paradise

(Shivers. Thought I felt the ground shake)

Here Comes The Flood - Peter Gabriel
Matte Kudasai - King Crimson
Traumerei from Kinderzsenen - Robert Schumann
