Being linked with a move to Northampton according to a Cobblers supporting mate.

Slightly odd one given he was playing regularly and playing well before his injury.....although realistically he'd seem to be behind Dougall, Ward and Robson now.

I think he’s a decent player and played well for us, he’s comfortable on the ball, a good passer and does the dirty job for his role very well. Hope this isn’t going to happen.

I think he's at least the equal if not better than Robson.

Many of the players Critchley brought in should be shipped out, they're not good enough to make an impact in league1. First out the door should be Critchley although many on here think he can do no wrong!
As they say there's no fool like an old fool...your poisonous bile may have more credibility if people didn't know of your unrelenting support of all things Oyston...as I said before you are not a Blackpool fan even if in your sad old deluded world you think you are. Take your blinkers off and get behind the team or just walk away...nobody is interested in your uninformed repetitive drivel.

I think Williams is a decent stop gap but would be disappointed if he was first pick..I think we would have been better with Callum Camps from the Dale...I guess the manager had worked with Williams before

I think he is only on a short contract, but he is a decent player in the David Vaughn mould. Generally breaks up play & passes to another Teammate usually.

He's a good defensive midfielder. I'd be disappointed if we let him go. There will be games against top attacking teams when we want to use both him and Dougall to shore up the defence.

There are several others in the queue to let go before we reach him.

Nothing against the guy at all, but the fact is that we have, competing for two slots, Dougall, Ward, Virtue, Robson and Williams, as well as calls for a play-maker to come in.
There are certainly others we should be looking at trimming, but if we (fans) want to see a prolific goal scorer and play-maker (both expensive in terms of wages) we need to accept that a few need to be chopped.

Antwi and maybe even Sarkic can also play this role

Can't say i'd be disappointed if true,Northampton are one of the poorest sides in this division, says it all.

Apologies if this offends, but you do talk some bollocks.
Doesn't offend me in the slightest, I'm not a snowflake like many on here. I sincerely believe that Critchley has made several poor signings and that his system / tactics have been poor. Our league record suggests I'm right. His failure to bring in a creative midfielder and a goalscorer pre season was baffling. Also, the fact that he doesn't learn from his mistakes is beyond belief.

We have lots of similar players in that midfield, ultimately some are going to have to go in order to bring in what we need.

I remember him not being so great at first and really improving. It is a shame that an injury has prevented him solidifying his place in the squad but if he is one of the players we're shipping off in order to make room on the wage bill then so be it. Good luck to the lad.

....or your lies. I had several face to face rows with members of the Oyston family...did you, or do you just hide behind your keyboard in cowardly fashion.

Yeah Im probably renowned for my cowardice and I really was a shrinking violet when it came to my criticism of the egregious ones...thing is Im not a liar though and your support for the Oystons was unerring...I stick by my assertion that you are not a Blackpool fan in the true sense of it. You may have been to the odd game but you cannot be as critical as you are of all things BFC and be a true supporter...I could block you but you really arent worth the effort despite your boring, repetitive ,inane ramblings...You can get behind the team and still be critical of the manager's tactics...your style though is just to be totally blinkered and take great delight every time the team loses....How you must this the good old days under your heroes the Oystons....I am afraid this forum would be a better place without you

Who would be your ideal league 1 manager for Blackpool as you obviously dont like Simon Sadlers choice of manager either.
Paul Cook has the right credentials. Grayson was past his sell by date, and Critchley had no experience at our level and I think it's evident.

To add perspective I agree that Paul Cook would be a good fit for us BUT we already have a manager, a fantastic owner and a vision for the future with realistic aims which I believe we can achieve.

Fair points but I still think Critchley should be given time, strange season and a new regime. As long as we are progressing things should be fine. We need to show some patience.

...but are we progressing on the field? Is Critchley learning from his mistakes, of which there have been too many?

I asked exactly the same question earlier with no reply. Being critical is everyone's right but being contributing positively surely has to be part of the bargain too. Balance is important after all

We have a Head Coach who in my opinion was the wrong choice. I haven't seen anything this season to alter my view.
Too many mistakes in signings, team selection, tactics and substitutions.

If you asked those questions in that tone then people would have a lot more respect for you...its a much better style than you usually use
I accept I'm forthright in my opinions, never being one to sit on the fence. There has been an element of incitement based purely on the fact the some disagree with my views. I'm afraid I was brought up to fight fire with fire and stand my corner.

In all honesty I don't believe there have been too many on field positives so far.

I was referring to you calling for a new manager but not , to my knowledge , putting your ideal candidate's name in the hat . As re on the field positives ...I tend to agree ...up to a point. But half way through the season , halfway ish up the league playing half as well as we might be playing next year. That's pretty much as good as I expected it to be with a ,' rookie' manager , brand new squad and a covid cocked up season anyway .

...but why on earth was a rookie manager appointed? I still believe it was a big mistake.
On the subject of recruitment is Johnson still here, given we recently appointed a Head of Recruitment?

I’ve liked him the few times he’s played.he is probably one of the better players on the ball.I would like to see how he clicked with Dougall and to be honest out of those two in the middle it would be Dougall I would think of as the defensive one.

saying that,if Critch has to balance the books to bring a midfielder in that gets forward more then obviously somebody will have to make way.Somebody mentioned his short term contract perhaps that’s what the deciding factor would be.It’s a shame if he goes though as he is something different to the other midfielders we have.
