Mayflies

On BBC1 tonight at 9 but just watched both episodes on iPlayer. How brilliant, powerful, sad , funny, joyful. If you've ever lost a close friend before their time you'll be bawling your eyes out
I'm not sure if enjoy is the right word but please watch. My wife is still crying ten minutes after it's finished but I'm not -honest 😪
I’ve read about it as it’s Martin Compston from Line of Duty fame isn’t it.

Gosh, that’s some review you’ve given it.

Will watch it at the weekend, am in work in the morning and sounds like I might still be blubbing by then if I watch it tonight 🤦‍♀️
Thanks for the heads up 👍

Tip, you might need the subtitles

Have watched Mayflies 1st episode and found it to be very heartbreaking, but also covering a subject that should not be hidden. There is a Hospice in Paisley, Scotland which has in one part three pictures painted by a now deceased Cancer Patient. The first picture represents horror and was painted when the patient was diagnosed, the second is a representation of coming to terms with the diagnosis and the determination to stay positive, and the third represents peace, having come to terms with the condition learning to live with it until the end. i have never forgotten that, and tonights episode reminded me again of them.
