Luton Airport, H.M. Customs

I worked 13 years at Luton Airport.
A little story that's just come to mind.
I was Duty Officer one day, sat at the desk near to the door so I could see the Baggage Hall.
One of the Ground Staff from Monarch Airlines came in, with a young lady newcomer. About 18 y.o.
The Senior said, 'Hi Dave, this is Joanne (might have been another name). can you take her into the lost baggage room,
the owner of a suitcase has come to claim it.'
I took the young lass to the Baggage Lock-up. There were 2 door keys, both for different locks. We unlocked and went in. found the case and opened it. (The owner wasn't allowed in but had given the lass the key).
Inside was what looked like a necklace case, about 6/7 inches square.
I opened the case expecting a necklace, but there was a round, flat piece of what looked like plastic in the middle.
I reached out to pick it up, the sweet young thing grabbed my hand and said 'Don't touch that, it's been up her Fanny.'
Of course it was a Dutch Cap.
Happy days.

Young un’s on here won’t have heard of that😉….but given the average age on here is probably over 60 plenty will have.
