Lancs CC vs Kent CC

Whoops sorry I'm late family committments and all that caper. Two wickets down, the nightwatchman Williams for 1 and Bruce Almighty for 12. Bell 45 and Hurst 20 have taken Lancs to 233-6 a lead of 65.
 
On paper the middle order looks weak but it's great that Lancs are giving a chance to the youngsters Balderson, Bell & Hurst to show what they can do.

They have all played for England at various levels so hopefully can produce the goods this season like Bohannon has done over the last few seasons.

We just need Bruce to show why he's played international cricket for NZ.

I agree and our top order looks strong too, they all got starts but got out. Still think Balderson is batting 2 places too high and we're playing a spinner too many.

Apparently Mahmood is back for the next game so that will give us a bit more in the seam department.
 
320-7 at tea a lead of 151, A swift cameo 50 by Bailey when he gets in could make things interesting at least.
 
Matty back to haunt us as to takes his namesake Hurst for 58. Lead 160. if it's going to bounce and turn maybe 3 spinners is a good idea, 4 if you count Bailey and his occasional offies.
 
3rd wicket for Parky and all out for 327 Hartley 35 a fair knock. Kent 164 to win and it's hard to see them not getting them, we're looking at back to back defeats.

Welcome to the thread of cricket doom although both Lyon and Hartley are turning it quite sharply. Lancashire have a great chance to take the nine wickets required if Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and tooth fairy are all real.
 
Compton c&b Lyon for 29, the tooth fairy et al are smiling at us... 73 still required close fielders increased.
 
50 up for Bell Drummond 59 more needed. Seam back on with Balderson but the tooth fairy appears to have left the building.
 
Another wicket for Lyon with Leaning caught by Wells for 16. 35 more runs needed. This match won't last until lunch, I'm having tuna butties.

8 more runs to go as I contemplate the sheer futility of existence and this pointless vigil that is condemning my soul to a slow death spiral. Oh well gotta laugh 3 more to go... 2... and a boundary all over, please come back The Missing Link.

We certainly are but we need to start firing.

We are a team re building and the middle order youngsters will only get better . . with Mahmood and Wood to come back the pace attack will actually have some pace.

The top three will always score runs just had a poor couple of games.

Need Bruce to come to the party too.

We won't win it but will finish mid table IMO. 🌹

We have Harry Singh waiting in the wings and lavelle has a better average than Mr Almighty. PS. Critchley out he knows nowt about cricket.
