It's hardly the end of the world

We should have come away with at least a point so throwing away a 2 goal advantage after as good a first half as I can remember is frustrating and disappointing. But, we aren't going to win every game and there were far more positives than negatives. We have a really good football team and we will learn from the errors today. We are still evolving and it will take a while yet for us to be as good as we are capable being.

It's amazing how many on here start moaning about stuff so quickly when things go a bit wrong, it is the disappointment and it gets into your soul but when you sit back and reflect you will likely think that should have been 3 points and that there were some really great passages of play.

I can see why they stuck with the same team apart from Ward but I thought Dougall was out of sorts tonight and for all the stick Ward gets, he does the simple things well and gets attacks going quickly, I am not sure we have seen our best two central midfielders together yet, we have a plethora to choose from and I have to say I think Williams has been missed and could be the answer alongside Dougall, but we have Robson, Anderson, Woodburn, Ward & Virtue to choose from so it will be interesting to see the permutations.

I would like to have seen Luballa or Sarkic on the bench as we have no obvious attacking replacement for Madine. I see why NC plays Husband (who I have never rated) and Turton (who had an average game tonight) as they are defenders first and foremost, but I hope we will see more of Garbutt, when he is fit and Gabriel on the right, but they need to be sound defensively, not just good at going forward.

I find it fascinating and I have really enjoyed the football since Calderwood came in (not saying he is the reason, that's just when it seems to have clicked)

Chalk that off as a lesson learnt and make the next team in a league game pay and go on another run.

As for the 2 trolls tonight, have a safe journey back to your rock.

Spot on. Other than 7 minutes of it going Pete Tong there is really not much else to discuss.

It's a poor league. We are improving. We'll be back on a new run.

Let's roll again on Saturday in the cup. 👍
Yup, let's go and tonk Harrogate and get a good 3rd round draw and use a few of the other players to keep them interested and try and win a shirt or a place on the bench.

Let's hope they do learn it.

Well played Doncaster. Very frustrating not to get anything, but in many ways it was a great game to watch, and the play was ‘stretched’ for a lot of the time.
As so often in football one or two different decisions and we would be having a very different discussion now.
Doncaster probably just about deserved their win though.
