Air strikes, dropping bombs on a civilian population that has no army, no navy, no missile defence systems, no guns, in fact no way of defending themselves. It isn’t a conflict, or even a War. It’s Genocide, murder, plain and simple.

Whilst religion exists there will never be peace in Jerusalem.
 
Now that the labour party has been muted, and little air time given to any criticism of Israel. Perhaps this is the new normal. I watched a sky reporter say, the Palestinians were just standing around in a good mood, when the Israeli forces used tear gas and violence. Its a tactic used regularly to provoke a reaction. So stones are then thrown, and the BBC news talks about it has a conflict between two equally matched sides. Its Genocide and murder.

What are the Israeli casualties? I thought not.

Two Israel’s dead so far and Tel Aviv currently under missile attack.

Well I watched the news on Sunday evening and saw just a few of the 300 rockets that were allegedly fired in to Israel from Gaza some hitting Tel Aviv so someone has guns/weapons.

Every country has a right to defend its self if being fired upon yes even Israel.

A 60 and a 80 year old women killed and 95 Israeli folk injured and that was just today-Tuesday but hey lets not get your prejudices in the way.

Yup absolutely although the seeds were sown after WW2 and the responsibility for lighting the fuse lies elsewhere.
Cant help thinking the Israel situation is the tip of the iceberg, and we're off to a cultural and religious hell in a handcart.
 
According to reports, Hamas did fire the first rockets into Israel, but they decided not to turn the other cheek. There doesn’t seem to be a solution to this centuries old religious problem. Let’s just hope it doesn’t escalate.

Im confused by your reply. This continues to be a religious dogma war in the Middle East and not a Labour or Conservative argument.
If Palestine was larger and stronger and backed by the west they’d still attack Israel over time and in reverse as it is today.
 
How do Hamas get so many bloody rockets into Gaza as we are always told its one big prison camp locked down by Israel...it must be the worst guarded prison camp ever...

I mean it's not like smuggling an ounce of weed in for Lytham FY8 between your butt cheeks is it 🤔
 
Isn't the real issue over a place of prayer which both sides want to own?
If that is so, then why don't they come to some agreement about sharing? i.e. A week about each.
I suppose that's too simple, they each want to own it outright. 🙄

Because Christians/Jews/Arabs/Romans have been at it in this region since the birth of Christ.

And Christians and Arabs have been fighting over Jerusalem since the first crusade nearly a thousand years ago.

Roll on to 2021 and their still at it.

You mean like the Russians have been doing in Crimea Ukraine and everyone seemed to turn a blind eye.

In any other areas of the world, the Israeli treatment of Palestinians would be called “ethnic cleansing”, e.g. as in the Former Yugoslavia. The explicit support of the USA blurs this. The intention seems to be to displace all Arabs from the former Palestine, by seizing their property and making them homeless. Or by seizing their land and building exclusively Jewish fortified settlements.

Gaza is simply a vast self-governing concentration camp, with its people fenced in behind barbed wire, and intentionally deprived of the resources expected in normal civilisation by Israeli-controlled rationing, even including the water supply.

Such a tragic situation and looking at the history how can it ever be solved. It shows how weak the UN are as should they be the ones to move peacekeepers in. As in any war, which this is, it’s the ordinary people and children who suffer.

If you're appalled by two Israeli deaths in Tel Aviv, how must you feel about 68 Palestinian (12 children) deaths and over 300 injured..inconsolable??

And 200 injured from Israel and you couldn't give a toss about them says more about you than anything else.

Deaths and injuries on both sides is utterly terrible these are human beings and because of bloody politics people are getting maimed and killed.

If the Palestinians had not started firing missiles at Israel civilian populations then this wouldn’t be happening.

If they stop it, Israel will stop it.

I don’t want deaths or injuries on either side, but every country has the right to defend themselves - even Israel!!
 
Surely it would have served Hamas better if they provided evidence of land grab and forced evictions to the UN and demanded real action?
Appealed to the US and Europe and to the Arab States for assistance in the legal challenge.
Built up a media campaign of the real injustice. Peaceful and sustained protest.

Launching missiles indiscriminately into Civilian areas is not going to help their cause no matter how much Israel bully and provoke them.

I think the Palestinians have learnt from bitter experience that Israel will just ignore any UN resolutions. The only country that has any influence over them is the U.S.

Good point really both sides to blame but if it’s correct that Israel’s defence system shoot down most of the Hamas rockets to not retaliate and appeal to U N to put pressure on Hamas would have been more powerful
 
Ground invasion of Gaza imminent according to some news sources.

Can’t blame them if I’am being honest with the amount of rockets coming over the border.

The P M of Israel (Benjamin someone I cant pronounce) has said if the rockets stop so will the Israeli attacks.

Over to Hamas I’d say if they want a ceasefire stop the rockets otherwise face the consequences.
