Coidy played over 300 games for us and was, I think ever present (or thereabouts) in the Macca promotion season.

He was quality and could have been a real player has injuries not bitten.

Stewart has never managed more than half a season anywhere.

I think Coidy picked up more than his share of injuries because he was two footed and versatile. This meant he could be slotted into most positions on the park - a big advantage in the lower leagues.

Danny Coid was the first Blackpool player I saw who could play right back, midfield and left wing and do a good job in all those positions. I seem to remember Liverpool were scouting him at one point but he was never the same player again after the collision with the roller at the training ground.
