Going, going ,gone

The right thing to do and at least she bowed out with a bit more dignity than her predecessor.

Of course, whoever gets the job will swap her political problems for a new set, but that's for another day. I don't see how they can morally avoid a relatively swift GE - maybe in May, maybe even earlier. It will be a good election to lose, I would say.

Possibly, but if someone remotely competent turn up they're going to look brilliant compared to the last three years.

It's been clear the Tories have been hoping to find a 'unity candidate' for 10+days to take over. The fact that they haven't been able to find one yet shows you what a shower of incompetence they are left with. 360 odd MPs and they can't find a single person to be the Prime Minister. Stuck between options of one loser after another who couldn't even defeat Liz Truss in an election.

The trouble is that whoever gets the job they will reshuffle the cabinet so we will be back to square one.
I just cannot see who is suitable for the role (and I include ALL parties in that comment).

It's not a holiday rep' being elected, it's the PM. They're not required to be a media 'supastar'. They need to be able to run the Government effectively and with purpose.
