Furlough Payments - My whole family have received zilch

Why haven't these furloughers just been paid basic state benefit like anyone else who loses their job? They could then have been given a loan chargeable if necessary on their house. People who go into Nursing Homes often have to do this.

This Government have been very keen on the Benefits Fraud hotline. Lets have a Furlough Fraud hotline.

I'll be happy to volunteer to man one of the phones- it's only fair; fraud is fraud no matter

Furlough is about keeping jobs, the economy and businesses alive so more complicated than you suggest.
Yes, we should all make a stand against fraudulent activity where it exists.

It’s about maintaining businesses and there staff for after lock down....
It’s not just people furloughed who are getting money, all small businesses with premises have got £10k grant, which is free and doesn’t need paying back....
