In view of our current situation, ie Ekpiteta injured, Ballard possibly international duty, Gretarson requires game time, are the
club in a position to sign/train with us a free agent centre half such as Joel Lynch experienced player formerly with Sunderland ?

In short No.

Only if the club are really concerned about getting these players back in the next month or so, and even then only look at a short/cheap contract. Leave any new permanent players till after the season when we have time to select the best options.

Think if we are missing Ballard he will slot Turton in a CB.
Or.... Maybe do a Pep and put Stewart there?

I think we have a squad place left? I’d sign a right sided CB on a short term/till end season contract. Ballard and Big Marv as well as the Viking out leaves us vulnerable

The squad is full.

If we were allowed to get an out of contract player in, it's doubtful he'd be anywhere near match fit. I'd rather see Husband or Turton.

I must admit I’m a little surprised we’ve not brought someone in at centre back. There’s bound to be some players available and I’m fairly sure there’s players who don’t fit into their current clubs plans and will be out of contract come summer who could arrange a termination of their contract before then signing on a free. (Or maybe registration document rules come into that)

Then again maybe we’ve tried or already have someone training with us.

Moore was training with us for 3/4 weeks before we actually signed him.
