Fonz

Goals 1 in 7, always played up top in some capacity. Give me a selfish, not so nice, goal machine any day. Seems a nice lad but my football team isn't going to progress with the likes of Delf on board. Wish him well but another sign we're onwards & upwards as a club.

I tell you what's more of a shock is how many players Bancrupt Bolton are signing up.
As for Fonz ? Could have stayed and continued to contribute or face a new challenge with an old team mate managing . I wish him all the best and thanks for grafting for the Pool Fonzie

Developed a really good understanding with Kai Kai at the start of last season, before he was out through injury. Yes, he has been inconsistent, being good in some matches and virtually absent in others. He was one of the few players that could take the attack to the opposition and make things happen, but should have had more goals to his name. Overall he has been a good servant to BFC and I can't understand why some completely rubbish him. Good luck to him. Good signing for Bolton and Evatt wouldn't have signed him unless he thought he could do a job for them

Good luck Fonz, I will stop well short of calling you a legend, but the respect you showed to the supporters and community of Blackpool will always stand you in good stead whenever you are back at Bloomfield Road.

I think it speaks volumes the fact Fonz's thread has 1k views but Robson's has 5k - we are all looking to the future and even his most ardent fan must know that the Fonz was very much part of the past.

Will he be replaced ? Dont forget we are releasing players to league 2 clubs and replacing with League 2 players , with that comes the attached risk of our transfer strategy falling flat on its face.

I've always liked Fonz and he was capable of turning a game round when at his best. But recently I've been looking at all these young, hungry incoming players and struggled to see exactly where he would fit in. Probably our highest paid player so right to let him go now. A two year contract is decent for him and he'll do well for notlob. Good luck Fonz.

I liked him and am a bit sad he's gone. He was surprisingly good in the air, something often overlooked, when throw-ins or goalkicks were pumped up the field to him but his career has never kicked on due to his lack of finishing which he has never quite managed to master.

Gutted no secret that I love the guy.
But I can see that this is a good decision for club and fonz.
Best of luck pal you are a club legend.
Did we by any chance manage a fee?

I was thinking that getting Fonz to perform with any sort of consistency would have been the ultimate test of NC's management skills.
Now I can stop worrying about it.

We needed a big clear out after last season and I'm not surprised the Fonz has been released. Had high hopes for him after seeing him pre-season last term when he appeared on fire, but as usual that optimism was misplaced as his promise petered out yet again ( except for a MOM at home to Peterborough). Need new young blood and more consistency. Good luck to him though. I wish him well.

Evo came calling end of story.
Just hope it doesn’t come back to bite us.]

Nothing wrong with the lad but he won't be missed and as for club legend, that must be a joke.

I wish him well but I am not sure he's going to be the one to fire Bolton to promotion.

Bloody hell we are going for a major rebuild, I will reserve judgement when I see we have better players. Yes Fonzy was frustrating but I thought maybe NC could have done something with him. Good luck to him though.

If I met this man I'd shake him by the hand and for me he can leave with his head held high.

May never have been a world beater but always wanted to do his best, and for that reason big respect to the fella.

Evatt as future manager and The Fonz as assistant
Okers yes absolutely want Evo and Fonz to do well.
Just hope in 2 years minimum it doesn’t come back to bite us

Every club has to have a player who stays just a bit too long but regardless is loved by the fans - we've not had one for years because of the way the club has been run but thanks Fonzy - you weren't the best but I always felt you cared.

Wasn’t going to be a regular starter, still a little surprised NC didn’t see him as option B coming off the bench. However I have said it before the squad we had left when the season finished wasn’t anywhere near being good enough to chase a top 6 position (especially after the loan players left) so a clean sweep was required. A couple of good loan players to arrive and we can start the new season with hope.

I doubt that we have seen the last of him I bet that at the end of his footballing career he will end up
back at the club in some capacity.

We loved Nathan the Fonz and am sad to see him gone, but I think it means we are aiming higher in standard. The Fonz scored some good goals but he missed quite a few as well - 2 glaring ones in our annual defeat at Bristol Rovers last season.

Da Fonz was a great bloke, skilful and inconsistent player, and I personally wish him all the best as the Murderers turn into Blackpool 2
