Favourite opening to a film.

Lawrence of Arabia. Long panning shot that materialises into Peter O'Toole riding a camel straight to the camera. They just don't take that amount of time anymore on a film.

Indiana Jones and that big stone.Reminds me of the first boiler repair job of the week 😄

Scream. When Drew Barrymore, arguably the biggest name in the film, gets it in the opening 5 minutes you know all bets are off

Two I like are the plane flying through the snow covered mountains in Where Eagles Dare and the bandits riding into the village in the Magnificent Seven.

Not an opening scene granted, but Dennis Hopper/Christopher Walken scene in True Romance.
Tarantino at his finest and helped him fund RD.👍

Every fecker I know says Saving Private Ryan but never seen it myself.

Nothing to do with the start of them but the last few nights I've watched a couple of films.

I watched Mona Lisa with Bob Hoskins for the first time and thought it was great and I watched The Rise (cheap British film with Timothy Spall) which wasn't too bad but perhaps a bit far fetched.
