So...with all these outgoing and incoming players...who is going to be our leader on the pitch...who has captain material...any thoughts ?

Any number of the new boys may step up too. Epiketa could well be a future captain by all accounts, same goes for this Robson if he's playing games and playing well. I'm still expecting at least 1 more central defender on a permanent too and possibly they could be a ready made captain.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Virtue was Critchley's captain for the under 23's when they were both at Liverpool.
Based on the current squad he must be in with a shout.
If Virtue continues to improve and refine his game I think we could have a very good player there.

I expect Turton (in fact every player in Tangerine this season) to be a completely different animal to what they were previously. Turton was wanted by Critchley and Critchley knows Turton well. On that basis he's good enough. Turton also happens to be one of the most experienced players in the squad and has been at the club a while now, given his position on the pitch he's therefore one of the more obvious candidates for captaincy.

With the players we’ve got so far, it’ll be between Virtue & Husband. But as we’re still going to bring in a couple of centre backs and 2 defensive/centre midfielders, I assume at least one of them will be an experienced captain and may well take the armband.

Husband is a good shout...does have the passion....but needs to control his temperament IMO

Time will tell of course but there are clear signs of intelligent recruitment planning in all 6 signings, credit to all involved especially Simon at this difficult financial time . If we can add a permanent strong centre back with leadership qualities , along with a few quality loans, this could be the icing on the cake of our best ever transfer window The future looks bright and tangerine, hopefully we can all watch it blossom before too long
