That long, that's frightening, where's all those years gone.today since he passed away, great songs still played today, songs to make you happy, songs to make you sad, songs to make you think, and songs to make you dance! Rest easy Rastaman. One Love.
You‘ve hit the nail on the head. His music will still stand up in 100 years. Exodus is such a complete album from start to finish. It frustrates me that my son and daughter, and most of the younger generation don’t seem interested in exploring albums. It’s all about playlists for them unfortunately. I think you're right about albums in general. Music seems much more ephemeral now. It must be a generational thing. I'm always open to new music hence why I go to a lot of gigs at the Bootleg up town but all roads eventually lead back to the 70's and early 80's for me. Saying that, I really love bands like Suede, SFA, Belle and Sebastian, Interpol, Editors, Slow Readers Club. You‘ve hit the nail on the head. His music will still stand up in 100 years. It is frightening, sad time for music favourites popping off, as well as Bob, Ian Curtis, Malcom Owen/ Ruts, it was like, what’s going on!That long, that's frightening, where's all those years gone.

Probably right there, Hammersmith Palais? Think the 1975 live album finally got the ‘rock’ crowd onside re-reggae and the live version of ‘No woman no cry’ released as a single from it. We finally got to see him at Deeside Leisure Centre July 80. Went to his house and mausoleum a couple of years ago in Nine Mile up in the Jamaican mountains to pay our respects, quite moving.Saw Marley & the Wailers in '76 when IMO they were at an absolute peak. Concerts were a 'contact high' and Catch A Fire/ Burnin'/ Natty Dread among my favourites still - plus Blackheart Man from Bunny Wailer who sadly passed away a few weeks back.
