And Yates close range finish sealed all the points!.
What a lazy match report, and pretty insulting to describe Yates goal as JUST a close range finish. Makes it sound like a tap in.
Totally agree. Read that and wondered if they'd even seen it. That's not journalism, that's just lazy scribbling before your bedtime cocoa

I think Marv will smile at that, but Yates' !!!! If any of the premiership strikers had done that against any team the BBC and the pundits would be salivating. well done son. give us another one just like the other one.

'Ekpiteta's scruffy close-range effort after Sullay Kaikai's cross caused confusion in Town's defence will not win any goal of the season contest'
True, I suppose. However, they could have described it as enterprising play or not giving up a lost cause, but instead chose to go more negative. Writer seems to be an idiot or anti Pool.

Will be a PA obligation thing that doesn't take into account what our individual feelings are and just gets something written.

Certainly regarding Yates’s finish, it’s inaccurate journalism that gets perpetuated across various media outlets.
Anyway, could be a good thing. We don’t want any higher league sides sniffing around in Summer. We’ve already got a fight on our hands to keep hold of Madine.

In fairness, you will read this report across the media, unless outlets had their own reporter there. It's called PA Sport and it's one man who sends reports to everyone and so it won't be a BBC person.
