Are you refusing the vaccine?

Had my injection on Thursday

I must be one of the 'unique' cases because I woke up Friday morning with every symptom of the flu....and have taken the next 2 days off because I feel like s##t.
9 other people in my team took the same injection and they are all fine......nothing at all......

I was quite amazed that a few who were 100% against having the jab changed their minds the moment it was offered.
I think it was helped when someone said you don't see the same misinformation or failure to obtain information when you're given a similar jab for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia & influenza.....and never question those...
My daughter (25) was down for 3 days after having it. 3 or 4 members of her staff went the same way, including one who collapsed on shift and ended up in the Vic as a precaution.
I’ll still have mine. 53 yo so should be imminent.

Fair dos lala. You are honest but there are plenty who do think they are heroes though.

It's the opening up as a byproduct bit I'm not keen on - betting the farm on a vaccine. Basic freedoms eg. seeing healthy family members, should never be contingent on politicians and their kooky schemes. Other countries and US states have managed to fight the pandemic whilst preserving the rights of their citizens. It definitely was doable. So why did we do it the hard way - delegating responsibility down to the individual, having everyone fighting like rats in a sack?
You do know the death rate in the US has passed half a million?

From disinformation bollocks as spread on here regularly.
In fairness it actually came from Patrick Valamce and the UK's Vaccine 'Tzar' - "VACCINES ARE NO SILVER BULLET" etc...

Essentially there seemed very little confidence at one point that the vaccine would deliver actual immunity and if it did that the immunity would likely be relatively short lived. So much so that the official narrative turned to an optimistic outcome being that vaccines would hopefully prevent the worst symptoms of the virus.

So no disinformation, just people picking up on what they were told through the official channels.... Of course, that has all changed now, but you can't blame the public when the officials have put this stuff out there in the first place.

Where did I say it wasn't? 🤔 Or are you just getting humpty because I've called you out on your disinformation about there being no vaccine deaths?

No one has died as a direct result of having the vaccine.
I've provided you the link to the government yellow card scheme which says otherwise. Not interested in arguing the toss about something that is clearly evidenced. This is exactly why I think lockdown zealots are like religious nutters.

You claim that deaths are tenuously linked to covid then desperately insinuate otherwise healthy people have died as a consequence of having the jab.

Just who is the zealot here, exactly?

I'm not claiming anything, simply pointing you towards government figures. Enjoy your evening Wiz 👍🏻

Thanks for the link. Are you ignoring the bit where it said the deaths post vaccination have been investigated and there is no suspicion that the vaccine was the cause?

Are you really this unbalanced? Death after having a jab and underlying conditions are at play but die with Rona and it's all down to the lurgy? No consistency but I shouldn't expect any. Anyway, have a day off and enjoy the game. It's completely unimportant what you or I think 👍🏻

They clearly say none of the deaths are a consequence of the vaccine. You pointed to the report. Not me

Young girl I work with says she’s not having it. She’s 24 and when I asked why, she said I just don’t want it. When I said you might need it if you want to go on holiday, she said, oh well, of course if I need it to go on holiday I’ll have it. Unbelievably selfish attitude.

She’ll just be a bit thick innit

I can understand young people not wanting it. The vaccine doesn't stop it spreading it protects you, young people are generally mildly inconvenienced with covid, why would you have a vaccine that hasn't been tested to determine possible long-term effects?
If so then you should be refused work...selfish people.

I think the vaccine stops transmission by something like 75% based on early data, I don't know where this "doesn't stop spread" comes from.
By definition, the more who have the vaccine the fewer to spread it do.

On the science side it is said that the first jab reduces spread by 66%

No problem with people refusing it despite the science and risk reduction - hope they bring in passports and the refuseniks will not be in pubs or on planes unless they have test and wear full PPE

Not refusing but temporarily delaying on medical grounds. I have retuximab infusions for rheumatoid arthritis and the vaccine had to be scheduled in with this.
