Apter’s Highlights

A loan deal that worked for both sides - I admit that I wanted him to stay there in Jan and continue to develop. In hindsight he maybe should have come back.

Looks like he should be a starter next season, unless Hollywood FC try and test our resolve. 💰

He looks like the sort of player Critchley is going to leave out of his 18 after a full pre-season, where he's used to make up the numbers, and then sold for a development fee in the next window with the explanation being that there's competition for places and they didn't want to hold him back.

Quite frankly, the lad is brilliant. If Critchley doesn't play and develop him, then he (Critchley) will reveal himself as a fraud, given that he was taken on to create a team sprinkled with up and coming stars.

“We didn’t think it would be fair on Rob for him to be in the building and not be getting minutes so we’ve let him go and hope he forges a successful career in football”…

There’s no doubt in my mind that Apter should have been recalled in January. He could have been the difference between play offs and not.
In the current system, he'd have to be used in Dembeles position so he wouldn't have got game time. Much better to have him out on loan, playing a full 90 mins and bagging goals for fun.

Hes absolutely not a wing back, as some people are suggesting.

Thing is, there were times when he could have made a difference. The Charlton game I think where we were drawing with 20 mins the go and Dembele was knackered. He might of helped us get the win. An extra point here and there would of made a big difference to our season

I've not read this thread because their will be the usual shyte about 'it's only League 2, he has proved nothing at our level.' Etc

The kid can look after a football better than 80% of our squad, if he doesn't start for us next year it will be ludicrous.

I've never understood that argument when half of our Premier League squad played in League Two or below at some point in their early careers.
Ormerod and Southern
Evatt - Chesterfield
Gilks - Rochdale
Vaughan - Crewe
Matt Phillips - Wycombe
GTF - Leyton
Baptiste - Mansfield
Varney - Cheltenham
DJ - Yeading
Puncheon - Barnet

The best young players from League Two almost always end up playing at least Championship level football and I see no reason why Apter won't follow suit.

Yeah that’s it let’s just make up things that have been said on a thread and reply accordingly🤣

No one is saying that.
