The Shari grill OMFG!Bipin's on Caunce St? Who could forget it? Bipin was so easy going it's not true, the amount of racial abuse that man tolerated was just appalling. As for the Shari Grill, we put it this way,if there was CCTV back then a lot of us would have spent time at her Majesty's pleasure, many a drunken tourist group came unstuck from Blackpool's firm there, and if your luck was in you could pull too.
Who can ever forget the Shari Grill after a night out in the 007, the racial abuse the staff got was quite shocking when you think back!Bipin's on Caunce St? Who could forget it? Doesn't really surprise me. There's always been an underlying racist element in the town, like most deprived areas. With so few ethnic minorities compared to most other areas, there's a fear of the unknown.Who can ever forget the Shari Grill after a night out in the 007, the racial abuse the staff got was quite shocking when you think back!
It used to fascinate me watching the bullet headed morons racially abusing Bipin, and looking all smug when he disappeared through a door to get their food, not realising he probably wiped his arse on the Naan bread ( hopefully)Doesn't really surprise me. There's always been an underlying racist element in the town, like most deprived areas. With so few ethnic minorities compared to most other areas, there's a fear of the unknown.
There is a search for him on Faecesbook, he's even got his own page In homage to him. It is called Bipin-Blackpool legend and it has 21 members.Anyone know what became of Bipin?
Its rife all over the world according to the BBC and BLM.Doesn't really surprise me. There's always been an underlying racist element in the town, like most deprived areas. With so few ethnic minorities compared to most other areas, there's a fear of the unknown.
And your view is?Its rife all over the world according to the BBC and BLM.
I have a very black and white view on it (no pun intended). And your view is?
Total and utter bullshit Blackpool is a transient town people come and go and very tollerant of people from all over.Doesn't really surprise me. There's always been an underlying racist element in the town, like most deprived areas. With so few ethnic minorities compared to most other areas, there's a fear of the unknown.
My Brother was Jez Latham’s best mate and was A not right as well ... my brother did a lot of time at her Majesty’pleasure.... Risley first and then pretty much most of the north west lock ups....he made his way back up to Glasgow and has sorted his life out ( Grew up ) and is an OK sort nowThe Shari grill OMFG!
From being 16 I used to go to the 007 on Topping street. The Shari grill was lunatic central. Jez Latham (a Bispham not right)
Kicking off with his mates barbed up. I'd heard of pubs that were rough like "The Rammy" but to be told. "Don't go there for chips it's rough as fook." Well that's on another level of lunacy.
Not bullshit at all, as any casual reading of this board would indicate. Defending 'I'd rather have a tower than a mosque' as a chant, saying Paki is an abbreviation and not an insult, BLM are evil, kneeling is an affront to decency etc etc.Total and utter bullshit Blackpool is a transient town people come and go and very tollerant of people from all over.
We've had a huge gay community for years and no one gives a toss but to say we're racist I'm not having that one bit.
Of course there are racist people everywhere and especially with the football World and no doubt Blackpool will have a few but not a huge amount.
So some comments are a no mark poxy message board by not all locals and your condemning a town of 140k as racist stop it.Not bullshit at all, as any casual reading of this board would indicate. I'm not saying the town is racist, I'm saying there is a racist element. So some comments are a no mark poxy message board by not all locals and your condemning a town of 140k as racist stop it.
There is far more racism in towns and cities with big BAME populations that Blackpool doesn't have.
Is there fuck no more than any other town in Britain.I'm not saying the town is racist, I'm saying there is a racist element.

Keep knocking the town of Blackpool, dont come back you facking rat.I'm not saying the town is racist, I'm saying there is a racist element.
Vivid memories TB of the abuse they took but we never did we treated them with respect,Who can ever forget the Shari Grill after a night out in the 007, the racial abuse the staff got was quite shocking when you think back!
Go back through my posts on this. I haven't said the vast majority are racist, or even a majority. You're reading something that isn't there.Wiz
You are miles better than the nonsense that you have typed there.
Maybe your war against racism should focus more on identifying those who abuse their position and actually discriminate against other folk because of their prejudices rather than trying to score points by arguing against people who have never racially abused or discriminated against anybody in their lives but who may have just spoken out against charades like taking the knee.
The vast majority of people are not racist but for some reason it appears to have become fashionable to suggest otherwise.
Go back through my posts on this. I haven't said the vast majority are racist, or even a majority. You're reading something that isn't there.
Incidentally, calling taking the knee as a charade seems to indicate that attitudes aren't quite there
Well agree to disagree but you make some decent points. I'm not trying to turn it into a race issue, although there are plenty examples in this thread of people reminiscing about constant abuse of the man in the title.Fair enough Wiz but I didn't actually say that you said the majority were racist, did I ?
What I did do was point out the fact that the majority are not racist and the only reason I felt the need to do so is because that it appears to be fashionable to suggest otherwise.
I am not racist in the slightest but yes I do believe that the whole taking the knee thing is a ridiculous charade.
A number of high profile black sportsman agree with me, I appreciate that you and others won't agree and have no problem with that but my opinions on the taking the knee certainly don't make me racist or indicate that there is anything wrong with my attitude as you suggest.
Perhaps it is time to focus on those who are prejudice and are discriminating rather than to waste time criticising those who have merely questioned the value of a protest.
You are a good man Wiz no doubt but you are seeing problems that are not there, there is virtually no racism at Bloomfield Road and although we can always do better there are certainly far bigger problems with racism in areas with big BAME populations as somebody has already touched on above.
Apologies for chunnering Wiz, I'd rather not get into a big points scoring battle with you, I just feel that you are anxious to turn something into a race issue when there is no need and I think you are OTT with your criticism of the people of Blackpool.
Up market areas are are worse.Certainly dont think theres an underlying element in deprived areas of Blackpool
Well agree to disagree but you make some decent points. I'm not trying to turn it into a race issue, although there are plenty examples in this thread of people reminiscing about constant abuse of the man in the title.
Wizz, I don't think reminiscing as you called it (I would call it recalling it) is in any way racist or supporting or glorifying racism, I think back in those days people thought it was clever to pass snide remarks at Johnny Foreigner not just about Asians but Italians, Spaniards, Turks or anyone else not English for that matter. Nowadays it's not acceptable and rightly so.Well agree to disagree but you make some decent points. Johnny Foreigner , I presume Bull, you’re talking about anyone from and including east of BurnleyWizz, I don't think reminiscing as you called it (I would call it recalling it) is in any way racist or supporting or glorifying racism, I think back in those days people thought it was clever to pass snide remarks at Johnny Foreigner not just about Asians but Italians, Spaniards, Turks or anyone else not English for that matter. Doesn't surprise me one bit, such a nice, easy going fella.I once left my wallet in bipins he brought it round to my house the next day ( my driving license was in it) he would not take the reward I offered, he said it was against his religion. He was a nice man, tried to buy the space invaders machine on several occasions but he would not sell it. Life needs more people like bipin.
You’re thinking of Poulton rather than Blackpool.I'm not saying the town is racist, I'm saying there is a racist element.
