O/T Chris Kettings from Football to Retail

It's a common theme for all clubs not just us. For every Foden there's a thousand kids rejected by City and it's the same everywhere else.

    New Pitch Again.

Name me a L1 team that hasn't had at least 3 loanees this season. That's modern football or hadn't you noticed?

Love your ambition there, but we're at least one league too low.

    Which level are BFC Women?

It's their choice, not the club’s I believe. Perhaps Insider knows more.

    Which level are BFC Women?

Bear in mind that they are independent of BFC, although seemingly in some kind of partnership arrangement with the club and the community trust. So no direct link like most women's sides.

    Tyler Blackett.

I'm mot saying that you're having a go at the club here, but on one hand critics say we don't pay enough to attract good players and on the other critics say our budget is one of the top six in the league so we should at least make the playoffs. Both arguments can't be true. I doubt that...

Kieran Maguire Explainer On Sadler Situation

They can't ban him from ownership as he's already the owner. The fit and proper person test is at the time of purchase, notafterwards. That's why OO could continue as owner after his conviction.

    Good start essential next season

It's effectively an under 23 tournament with the cream of the world's young talent (for GB the likes of Saka and Bellingham for example). Both a shop window and a source of injuries which will have a knock on effect from the top tier European clubs down to our level. It will affect which players...

    Good start essential next season

Another complication this summer is that the olympic football final isn't until 9th August, only three weeks before the transfer window closes and the day before the start of the EFL season. Knock on effect throughout the pyramid in terms of late decision making on squads and loans.

    Why?

Loanees are not there in case of injuries. They are players who are either on their way to better things (e.g. Shelvey and Coleman) or surplus to requirements or not yet ready at higher league clubs but better than we have or can afford at our level (e.g. Rhodes and Patino). If we just used them...

    Why?

Critchley came back in last summer and inherited what he had. Some of that was his from before, some was Appleton's. There's been a season for him to assess everything and now he needs to build a squad that's almost totally his. He's got the summer to do it and next season to prove he's got it...
