    PKE Takeover

Couldn't agree more, which is why my plan of going from quasi anonymous American Blackpool fan to majority owner by 2040 will be such a successful Netflix series. Hope people will be ok with the Stars and Stripes are flying at Bloomfield Road!

Would you accept dull if it was succesful

This is a good point, I think as a hedge fund manager, Sadler views things much more long term and in his eyes excitement is derived from the training ground/East Stand projects, which take priority over on the field success and hence why he prefers Critch right now (since he can provide on the...

Would you accept dull if it was succesful

The answer to OP's question is undoubtedly YES, and anyone saying otherwise is a liar, because we were all content with dull football in the 2020-2021 promotion season (where we 5 less goals than this season) because it yielded the result we all wanted.

Competition in League 1 Will Be Much Tougher Next Season

Exactly, im hoping that perhaps the fact that it’ll be Critch’s 2nd full season in the league and with the squad that we’ll be able to have a strong start? Not holding my breath though.

    League 1 2024-25

Also have to factor in that we somehow play better against better teams so hypothetically having more “good” footballing teams should fair well for us.

Competition in League 1 Will Be Much Tougher Next Season

Fair point, being in this division does de facto make you not great and we should fear no one, but on paper the league will be much much tougher IMO. Yes no Derby and Pompey, but there will be many more teams who in theory should be better on paper. Obviously they won’t all be decent since...

Competition in League 1 Will Be Much Tougher Next Season

Think the same here, Wrexham will fancy themselves as dark horses with their documentary money and they’re already above the average wage bill for League 1 clubs. Nightmarish division.

Competition in League 1 Will Be Much Tougher Next Season

But Wigan and Reading were never challenging because they were deducted points and were unable to sign players clubs of their size should have been signing. That’s the point, there won’t be any problem clubs coming down next season hence a stronger league.

Competition in League 1 Will Be Much Tougher Next Season

Disagree, on paper it’ll be much more difficult. Not having to worry about the other relegated Champ teams was something a lot of people took for granted. Had either Wigan or Reading been competent like relegated Champ teams should be we’d have been out of Playoffs weeks ago. Rotherham...

Competition in League 1 Will Be Much Tougher Next Season

An underrated point few are mentioning regarding how big a failure this season was; League 1 was an incredibly weak league this season. 2 of the 3 relegated Championship teams (Reading and Wigan) were non threats with transfer embargoes and points deductions and the Promoted League 2 teams...

    Different Players, Different Critchley?

This. How many times this season did we line up in 3-5-2, get done in by a lesser team away from home, then still run the same formation and tactics again? He had ample chances to adjust, but didn’t because he’s stubborn. We finished the year about as good as we started and there’s no way...

    A replacement for Critchley

Actually think he’d be a cracking hire. No point thinking about a new manager when we already have one who will be here through at least halfway through next season. I will say appointments like him are what the club need to be making; new men with a fresh, attacking direction. Grayson...

    Squad was never good enough

Bollocks the squad was absolutely good enough, we were shit all year and were only 3 points off top 6! We finished where we did in spite of the manager!

    Signings for next season

Excited for this Summer no matter what happens, we have a solid nucleus of players staying on for next season with a little under half the squad likely leaving. It'll be a transition between Critchley's first squad and second squad, a big task on hand, but a needed one. A chance to usher in a...
