BBC making more stuff up

That’s a very positive way of looking at things, Wiz. I still hope that you have packed a bag ahead of being told to live abroad

It’ll be interesting to see what the situation re business by-passing the U.K. from Ireland is like six months from now.

Sorry but that report has to be Fake News.

We were assured by Johnson, Gove, Tonto, Jaffa, Scara etc that this wasn’t going to happen, so it’s clearly BBC bias of the worst sort.

Teething problems we were always going to get.
Great news on the vaccines don’t you think? Over 5m now done which is 10 times more than the likes of France Germany etc. 👍

Theres another thread I started on vaccines. I made it clear that's great news, even though some of my ideas are being picked up late, such as 24/7 jabs.

Stop deflecting. How's your cousin getting on with the shopping in NI? Been crushed by the volume of stuff on shelves?

Ports like Holyhead seem to be losing business with a lot of EU traffic bypassing the UK via routes like Cherbourg to Rosslare. More worrying though is the amount of articles you see where EU countries are now cancelling orders from British companies and replacing them with suppliers inside the EU. Totally inevitable, businesses will always look for the most efficient way and that is by no longer sourcing from the UK. These aren't teething problems either. These issues are permanent damage.

Luckily I'll be able to get a blue passport, go where I want and tell Johnny Foreigner that British is best, following the fine example of Gavin Williamson.

I agree that vaccination is going well.

But it's 3,857,000 actually, according to the BBC. You wouldn't just be making stuff up, would you?

Whoopy doo. There is one thing the government have managed not to screw up.
Meanwhile we still have the worst death toll in Europe,
Test and trace still doesn't work,
Ignoring the science to protect the economy but collapsing the economy anyway
Billions laundered off to to Tory donors,
Delay and dithering killed thousands unnecessarily,
Every other action has come too late,
Taking £1000 a year from the very poorest in society,
Losing the records of 400000 criminals,
Opening schools for one day then shutting them again
Ministers cosying up to Trump then having to back pedal as his disdain for democracy becomes clear
Fixing planning applications for Tory donors
Not closing the borders for twelve months
Having to put border controls in the Irish Sea despite saying it would never happen,
Ignoring bullying of employees by the Home Secretary, rule breaking by Dominic Cummings,
Not being ready for Brexit despite 4 years notice
The exams fiasco last summer
An education secretary threatening legal action against a council for wanting to protect the safety and health of its schoolchildren and education staff
Sending Covid infected patients into care homes to spread the virus amongst the most vulnerable
Throwing the Scottish fishing industry under a bus to get a deal
Blaming everyone but themselves- at different times it's been the health service, the care homes, the teachers, the immigrants, the refugees, BLM, the whole British public, the EU, the French, the civil service, everyone to blame but the government itself.
The lies, criminality and incompetence of this government is beyond belief but we should only take into consideration the one thing they haven't messed up.

Well, you've been quiet for a while. It must really piss you off to see how well the UK is rolling out the vaccine. Any chance of some praise for Boris and the government? No I thought not.

Teething problems we were always going to get.
Great news on the vaccines don’t you think? Over 5m now done which is 10 times more than the likes of France Germany etc. 👍

Some things will take time to sort, some are going smoothly. That's what you get from the biggest trade deal in history. I'm baffled that a few on here have so much trouble grasping that.

Told you before it’s scaremongering.
For some strange reason people love thriving on it.
How’s the ham sandwiches going are they still taking the ham off at the borders. 😂

4,062,051 as of last night actually according to Hancock doing the 5pm brief will be 5m by end of week.
But hey let’s keep the theme of things negative. 🙄

As we know, there are no problems with the borders, everything is going really well.

Ain't no big deal is it? Well it wasn't for you Remainers prior to the agreement deal being signed as you kept pointing out how it was such a small part of the economy.

That's a nice attitude towards people's lives and jobs. You wouldn't catch Commie Cat coming out with unfeeling shite like that. No surprise you're a closet Leaver either.

One industry after another is hitting problems. Fishing is just taking the headlines first because its product disintegrates quicker.

Quite remarkable that the fishing industry - who allegedly largely voted for Brexit and has been totemic in the negotiations - is now angrily complaining of being sold short only three weeks into Brexit, when one of the tenets of leaving the EU was to "take back control of our waters". Who`d have guessed that would happen?

Perhaps somebody overlooked the fact that much of our "happy British fish" is sold to, er... Europe.

So Boris has managed to f*** over NI and the fishing industry then.

Great news about the vaccine roll out though...

What attitude? it was a dig at those hypocrites on here who gave little regard to the fishing industry before the deal was signed questioning why an industry which was less than 1% of the economy should be a stumbling block but now want to make a big deal of the problems happening now.

What's hypocritical about pointing out the fishing industry was small fry?. It was the leavers that made fishing into such a key issue and have failed catastrophically to make brexit work for it. The people pushing for brexit didn't give a toss for fishing but saw it as a catchy little winner with the voters. Where is Farage hiding, you know the bloke on the eu fishing committees and constantly harped on about our waters.

Exactly. The leavers made it such a key issue when the remainers said it shouldn't be. And now the deal has gone though it's the remainers wanting to make a big issue of it.. So very hypocritical of you. Before you were saying it shouldn't be a problem and after you are saying it's a big problem.

Reclaiming our territorial fishing waters did seem to be Farage`s specialised subject during the referendum.

Perhaps it might have been better for all concerned if he`d attended some of the EU Fisheries Committee meetings and learned a little bit more about it...

'Kin hell I've just fell of my chair laughing. Dear me stop making stuff up

So you're denying that the fishing industry wasn't a greatly discussed topic and a supposed stumbling block in the discussions in the weeks immediately prior to the deal being signed? You that's making stuff up in your negative little world.

Surprise, surprise. Cat in a hat once again uses his blinkered political bias and blames the government for everything.
Very strange why he never, ever lays the blame at the feet of the mindless morons who don’t give a toss about adhering to rules and advice.
I saw a photograph take in Brighton yesterday and the place was absolutely crammed with people and I struggled to see anyone wearing a mask.

Brexit is going remarkably well. Given the biggest change in trading arrangements for decades the overwhelming majority of businesses have coped better than expected. The same news outlets running the same stories since pre-June 2016 cuts no ice anymore. There are no serious hold-ups, no food shortages, the City is still multiple times larger than anything in the EU and the Government is starting a program to cut back on decades of EU bureaucratic red tape. And the independent vaccine roll-out of course, which is worth several trillion Scottish langoustine farms.

To be fair, most of those had just got out of dinghies on the beach, because we're swamped with immigrants.

Brexit is going really well but don't read this

You tie yourself in knots with your ridiculous takes, that said if you were in a fisherman's knot you'd argue with yourself it was a figure of eight knot.
Leavers made fishing a key argument for brexit, it's turned into a disaster for the industry. Fishing is undeniably a small industry, that played a disproportionate role in the sorry saga. No one can argue with that, the figures speak for themselves.
Your take...... Leavers are hypocrites. You should perhaps look at how brexit was sold to the fishing industry and brand the sellers as hypocrites.

It's an interesting little read but it just ticks all the Remain boxes and reinforces it's own in-built prejudices without offering any real insight.

Quotes like "It’s not clear to me whether the UK ever read large chunks of the Commission draft" or "There was very little lobbying by business about Brexit " do little to add credibility to the blog and the links to Twitter and the press are just the same old people moaning about the same old stuff. The Guardian, The Independent, Joe Mayes and Peter Foster are hardly the sources you would turn to for rational explanations about Brexit.

Foster used to be the Brussels correspondent for the Telegraph until he jumped ship and now works at (surprise, surprise) the FT. Reading his stuff was painful at times. To get an idea of where Mayes sympathies lie just take a glance at his recent articles at Bloomberg... https://www.bloomberg.com/authors/ASWZ4qa9Lv4/joe-mayes

Brexit is going well but it's not been perfect and it won't be perfect just like being in the EU was never perfect. But I think there are a lot better informed people out there than Manhattan-based, NYT contributors.

Britain now has the highest daily Covid death rate in the world

Another world beating achievement from the glorious leader
Ah, you've crawled out of your hole now there's some more bad news to talk about. Just as I predicted. Any views on the good news with regards to how the innoculations are progressing. Wouldn't suit your hate filled agenda to comment on that. would it?
Of course you still believe everything China tells you. Far be it for me to suggest that China has every single death on it's hands.

Except the Fisheries Minister has said she didn't read the agreement re fishing because "she was arranging the school nativity".

Maybe they're on to something.

Theres a whole thread on it, as well you know.

Just because inoculation is going well doesnt excuse everything else.

Of course it doesn't wouldn't pretend otherwise. But anyone with a fair mind and a sense of balance would comment on good news as well as bad.

Just for you Wiz.

"During the session Lord Teverson, the Lib Dem chairman of the committee, asked her: “Did your jaw drop as well when you saw this agreement that had been delivered in fisheries, when really this is such an iconic subject?”

Ms Prentis replied: “No, the agreement came when we were all very busy on Christmas Eve; in my case organising the local nativity trail. We’d been waiting and waiting. It looked like it was coming for probably four days before it actually arrived.”

Opposition MPs seized on her comments. Scottish Lib Dem Alistair Carmichael told The Daily Record: “Surely she could have taken a little time away from the festivities to look after her own departmental responsibilities?”.

However, it was pointed out that the legal text of the post-Brexit deal was not published until several days later at which juncture Ms Prentis, a former Government lawyer, read it at once. She had been party to draft proposals on fisheries in the run up to the UK-EU agreement being finalised."

Given the amount of misinformation you lot get up to I'm surprised you're allowed on social media tbh. 😉

Was there any need for this and all the other bile on your post that you regularly spew out when responding to Cat’s posts. It demeans you.

Cat attacks Boris and the Conservative party but I can’t recall him ever attacking you or indeed anyone else on the site, though I may be wrong.

P.s. As I have mod friends, I’m allowed to spew bile within reason

P.p.s. At least you acknowledge that there is bad news. More than some on here can bring themselves to do.

So she shouldn't read the drafts?

I started that thread. What other people do is there choice.
Agree and that applies to me as well. So if I want to make an observation that some people only want to comment on the bad news and seem to go missing when there is some good news then I am allowed to do that. And let's face it, why wouldn't some-one want to comment on the fact nearly 4 million people have now been vaccinated. After all, it's the health of the country we are talking about.

Farage is doing what Farage does. How anybody could take that bloke seriously is beyond me. He's a charlatan, like Johnson.

It says in the quote she was party to the drafts. And the 'outrage' wasn't about the drafts it was about the finished agreement. Not sure where you're going with that.
I'm saying if she was party to the drafts which went on to make the full agreement why didn't she spot that it was a shit deal for our fishermen?
