Sorry Critch you did lose it yesterday!

The league isn’t defined by one game. Yesterday was just another away game where they don’t turn up. All them shite away performances have cost us a place in the play offs.
There is such a soft underbelly to this squad. I watched Barrow v Mansfield on the firestick yesterday and Barrow just missed out because they drew but christ they didn’t half have a go, they busted an absolute bollock to score and every player collapsed to the ground at the final whistle. The manager went round the ground to a standing ovation from their fans because they knew what it meant to the players and coaches.

Did Critch get a standing ovation at the final whistle..

I wouldn't know because I left just before the end 😜

We are dull to watch but Critchley can’t legislate for 2 defenders watching the ball and leaving a centre forward in 6 feet of space. That is criminal and a sign players were not up to it. 1 0 up defend as if your life depends on it and you win.

Yes the players need to take some of the blame

I’d like to think a top manager could motivate to players to perform to the best of their ability, not come out after the break half-asleep.

For me it's the reluctance to be expressive, to try something different.

At 3-1 down. We had all 11 players back at a corner.

At 3-1 down we made subs in the 75th minute.

At 3-1 down we left a young lad who would have been BEYOND hungry to get a goal which could have re-ignited us.

At 3-1 down we took a striker off and brought a midfielder on.

He’s right!
He lost it for us over the course of a full season with crap tactics and little motivation!
I went to Exeter away at the start of the season, the writing was on the wall then, a game for the taking but Critch happy with a nil nil.
All season he never changed, so therefore this is the first time I’ve stuck up for him but he is 100% correct, we lost over the course of the season, a miserable, negative and tactically inept season!

Let's be honest, we had no chance of winning the play offs. This would have been the worst ever Blackpool side to make them. Iam not buying that we always win the play offs. This bunch didn't have the heart to do it.
We never did, West Ham and Torquay.

He said it wouldn't have been fair to bring on Emmerson on and Virtue is capable of scoring. What possible damage would it have caused Emmerson to get 10 mins ? Could have boosted his confidence.

The other disappointing aspect yesterday was despite over 1700 Pool fans there was a good few started to leave after the 3rd went in with 20+ minutes to go, obviously a reflection of the poor football being served up away from home again.

Yep. The old adage of leaving it all out on the pitch, nowt left in the tank etc.
Funnily enough I felt we pretty much did that against Barnsley last week but for much of yesterday Reading looked more like the team playing for a play off place

I thought exactly the same after the first game of the season at home to Burton. 2-0 up and there for a record home win for the first game of the season and we sat back. Fcuking Barnsley put 7 past Port Vale on the same day 😡😡😡

Best of our players were loanees who probably had their bags packed for their hols. Some others maybe already know they're moving on after this season. So, in these circumstances do you try as hard throughout the team? Is another 2 / 3 weeks wanted by them all? Will always be hard for any manager when it's almost a full ish rebuild each year.
