Not good.
I'm a fairly positive person and really hope it isn't what I think it is. I just hope it's bruised ribs but when I saw him tonight he was in a lot of pain......a LOT of pain.......

I gather he got injured in that incident where he was receiving treatment.

It may explain why he missed that chance as that happened within a few minutes after receiving treatment.

Hope it’s nothing serious.

And rib pain tends to come on worse after a few hours ☹️

As long as he's not got broken ribs, which it didn't look like as he wasnt doubled over crying in pain, he'll be back quickly if out at all I'd have thought.

When fit I think he might need to come on as a sub against tired legs and regain his form. Just needs a goal.

It looked like a penalty from where I was sitting in the South and I called for it before the ref decided it wasn't. Some strange decisions from the officials once again.

Not sure he is suited for that as it usually involves someone with pace. His main attributes are popping up in the right place at the right time. Either way I hope his injury isn’t too serious.

Well it'll just buy him that extra second which you need when things aren't happening.

Playing from the off against far quicker and not tired players is probably harder.

Either way he just needs a goal and couldn't have had a better chance.

I think the ref just didn't see it clearly so couldn't give it. From the mess on the floor it could have been either way.

I’m not sure about that. Didn’t he spend a lot of time on the bench under Critch?
He actually didn't and let's face it, he would be awesome in league 1 with us and if we signed him I think we would go up, and if we did then he would be in the Championship anyway where signing for Blackburn and he could be in league 1!

He loved it here, genuinely loved it and that means more than anything and he was genuinely loved by us too, sometimes a player fits a club.

Having watched it a few times I don't think the ref was looking at the incident and the assistants were hopeless all afternoon - the one who put has flag up 5 mins after Lavery had missed that header rejected their abilities!

I’m not convinced Sadler has any ambition for us at this moment in time.
He's got a lot more ambition than around 60% of the fan base who can't be arsed turning up tomorrow night....or those who moan at the price of a pie or that their season ticket is more expensive than a Preston or Bradford one.....SS has put more money into this club than anyone in its ENTIRE history bar none......just think about that, more than ANYONE IN ITS HISTORY and people question his commitment......I wouldn't blame him if he was a bit pissed off.........a truly pathetic post TML.

Totally correct. The same pillocks watchung tomorrow via a dodgy stream are slagging the owner off for not spunking millions.

And why would Yates choose us over Blackburn? Player want to play at the highest level they can, not operate out of nostalgia. It’s professional football not ‘Jossie’s Giants’

i didn’t say he hadn’t invested in the club, but it’s all mainly about the ground etc,not the playing side of things. Also ,if someone doesn’t post the same opinion as you,it is pathetic, don’t think so it’s called my opinion whether right or wrong.

For starters, think about the unlucky timing of taking over any new business when he did. The guy has lost a lot of his own money and continues to fund.

Good things take time and start from the ground up to ensure sustainability.
I would think most owners of football clubs lose money hand over fist espescially in the lower leagues, but no one forces them to buy said clubs.

I honestly get totally pissed off with some of these absolute buffoons.
What are they expecting?
Someone to bankrupt themselves for a load of people who are amongst the most fickle and ungrateful in football.
Luckily the silent majority ARE grateful and supportive of SS and all he is doing both on and off the field.
Honestly there are some absolute brain dead idiots out there....

Anyone is allowed an opinion. I just think that your assumption that SS lacks ambition when hes ploughed literally millions of his own money into the squad is utter tripe and wrong. Football is a sport, there is no magic formula and throwing good money after bad is NOT the answer. Look at Everton and Forrest as two examples and there are many many more, that have spent hundreds of millions on players and just look at their plight........its a ridiculous assumption of yours or anyone else's that money will buy success.

I never said money would buy success either, but wise investment in the playing side would have consolidated our position in the championship in my humble opinion.

As a fan, I’m sure he has just like the rest of us, as an owner, he has to look at finances. His model is bring in young, promising players, develop them and sell for a profit. He doesn’t have a bottomless pit of cash.
True. All the more reason to sign Dembele with a view to at least doubling his value. Also, making sure that the alleged guru of youth development actually gives our own youth a proper chance.

Any news on this?
Nothing since Tuesday night when Critchley said he was still in a bit of discomfort. Hopefully it's a bruised rib, rather than cracked. I'm sure he'll feature this weekend, if not, going with Joseph (if he's recovered from his illness) and Lavery is a decent plan B.

Rest him if needed better missing a game than weeks.

I’d like to see Gabriel start and CJ on the bench to unleash

Update this morning from critchley on injuries
Rhodes. Doubt
Morgan. Doubt
Beesley Out
Joseph. Doubt ( hoping he will be ok )
Kouassi back so he may start but will he last full 90+ with being out 10/11 weeks

Could really do with one of the Doubts playing imo.

Kouassi won't last 90 mins, and I doubt Joseph will be risked for a whole game so it's probably the wasp in the starting XI.

The wasp is OUT injured since the port vale game on 29th Dec
We’ve only got lavery and kouassi as strikers available as it stands
I’d certainly play Gabriel and then cj further up the pitch
