    Latest details on Rwanda

It's nothing to do with us leaving the EU. Otherwise none of the 27 member states would have a migrant problem.

    Latest details on Rwanda

The whole of the west is struggling to cope with the migrant crisis and it's threatening to bring down governments across Europe but let's blame the Tories for this pan-Europe chaos. I'm sure Labour has a plan to solve it. They just don't know what it is.

Deterrent is working then? They won't be so keen to pay £3,000 to come here when they're on the run and can't get housing, medical care, benefits etc and they find that their mates are working in the black market and living on the streets or have moved to Ireland. Better to stay in France.

    VISIT RWANDA

Many interesting points arising from this thread 1. Migrants are heading for Ireland in numbers, so the deterrent factor of Rwanda is already significant despite the Irish government and the Labour party saying it is no deterrent. 2. Leaving the EU has given the UK freedom to make its own...

    VISIT RWANDA

It's hard to believe that Ireland think they can send migrants to the UK against their will. At least the UK have an agreement with Rwanda. Regardless of the enforced deportation of migrants, there is no way that the EU could condone a member state forcibly sending them kicking and screaming to...

    The real disappointment is ……

The real disappointment for me has been the apparent lack of desire to win games rather than not lose them. TBH I would rather lose a game attacking the opposition than draw it hanging on. Our 7 man attack under IH was suicide but totally inspiring.

    VISIT RWANDA

As Micheál Martin, Ireland's deputy PM said, "the Rwanda scheme will be entirely ineffective at deterring illegal immigration. The sort of knee-jerk reaction like the Rwanda policy, in my view, isn’t going to really do anything to deal with the issue." As Mr Martin also said, "the spectre of...

    And they keep on coming

We can certainly rescue them but we can't take them back to France. France can rescue them but shows no inclination to do so.

    And they keep on coming

Once again, boatloads of migrants set off from France this morning under the noses of the French police and five drowned including a small child. The boat could easily have been stopped from leaving but France is more concerned about supervising the departure. More deaths due to French intransigence

Are Premier League players soft or just cheats?

It's an intrinsic part of football in England and the rest of the world. Clearly, players practise falling over in training. Most are totally unconvincing. When someone pulls you back by grabbing your shirt you don't fall forward. I'd like to see refs just carry on with the game and leave the...

A few out walking the dog tonight

I'm sure you will be gutted for a lot longer than that my friend. My first dog died in 1983 and I still have his photo on the sideboard. 🥲

    Man of the Match.

Dembele for me. From the opposition's view he was almost unplayable in his midfield role. A good first half from most players. CJ has his best game of the season and still gets slagged off on here.
