Are we going to keep with the back 3 (a football thread)

Good post agree with most you say but do you really see that team winning games? You mention six new players so what is your priority, who do we get and who steps down?

    Pitch update

The pitch has an ongoing issue. Genius Karl built the stand to close to the pitch so it doesn’t get enough sun.

    Another article on Sadler

You have no idea who Sadler is. You don’t know him personally, you’ve never done business with him. All you know is he owns the club and has been caught with his pants down in Hong Kong. For all you know he could just be a cleverer Oyston. Only time will tell. For now the club has over...

Maybe we should go back to try and get Liam Rosenior

You think that’s funny? Your diagnosis is the latter option.

    Why?

Some continuity is important for any successful team is the point no matter what division.
  6. T

    Why?

Do you see six changes in the first team a year at city or Liverpool? Continuity is important. At our level 22 is unneeded and dead money. Less players, more money - better quality.

Maybe we should go back to try and get Liam Rosenior

Are you pretending to be thick or you really are? Oystons took out what the club earned. Sadler is burying the club in debt, achieved nothing and with nothing to show for it at this time. If we get to the prem I’m sure he’ll reimburse himself. The problem is he is burning through cash at an...

    Why?

We’re a third division club we don’t do Europe. We don’t need a 22 player squad. You stagger so at max you are changing 3 of your 11. Anything more is bad management as it would be in any other industry.
  9. T

    Why?

Absolutely not. A manager’s value is determined by how well he utilizes his resources to reach and exceed if possible agreed upon measurable outcomes. Critchley didn’t achieve anything.
  10. T

    Why?

Yes but you stagger contracts so that you have continuity and better leverage to deal.

Maybe we should go back to try and get Liam Rosenior

So it’s a plus that he did what every other club owner did? It would seem seeing as there was 100 % compliance that that was a given.

Maybe we should go back to try and get Liam Rosenior

Past can give clues to the future but his one success was not replicated anywhere afterward. I didn’t see one thing improve this season. I don’t see one area of growth I feel the manager can build upon next season. He didn’t own anything.

    Thanks for everything Marv

Would you? In a system not suited to him, in a team not capable of implementing the system with no plan b. It’s a short career, I work hard and I’d want to enjoy my football. I’d be off in a shot in his shoes.

Maybe we should go back to try and get Liam Rosenior

I’m really not sure Critchley understands the requirements to get out of this division. As a team we’re not big enough.

Oh wait Sadler has spent 19 million plus with nothing to show for it. No stand, no training ground, no squad and we’re in the old division three after getting relegated last season. Oystons took the money the club earned in the premier league. Big difference.
