Rank our last 5 permanent managers

Appleton was always going to be burdened with the PNE stigma at the first sign of trouble. IMO he should've gone after the Wigan game, Rob Edwards and Richie Kyle were then available after being shown the door at Watford. No guarantee that they would've come to Blackpool but talk about if...

    Pre Season Friendlies

I thought Fleetwood's idea of a training camp at altitude in Austria was a good way of getting players conditioned for the new season.

    Sadler.. insider trading?

I don't know the ins and outs of this particular case in HK but you have to wonder if there is a political motive to this given the way things are going over there. China is being more and more aggressive in exerting it's authoritarian influence on HK and this could be another step in that...

    Sadler.. insider trading?

OK so I've just been reading about Hedge Funds and how a company like Segantii may operate. It is a high risk/high return investment strategy in a world of high finance I know virtually know nothing about so I wouldn't pretend otherwise. Simon Sadler appears to be genuinely interested in...

    PKE Takeover

Yes, let's hope they get an American owner like Kevin Nagle who has just steered Huddersfield into Lg1 :)

    Squad was never good enough

A Gary Bowyer type who is steeped in this type of environment. Like Calderwood he would cut through all of the Liverpool Academy bullshit and dish out the advice to both Critchley and more importantly Sadler.

    Squad was never good enough

Oxford replaced Manning and despite a sticky start Buckingham got them into the play-offs. Barnsley had three managers, the interim boss Devaney for the final game, they scraped into the play-offs. Stability is important and I was ok with Critchley coming back but his utter refusal to play any...

Critch wants to play again on Monday

If he's got any sense he would pot Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-dee and get in a No.2 who would challenge him on his team selections and in game decisions. Sadler is giving him an easy ride.

    Kyle Joseph.

If we sign Rhodes you will see a different Joseph next season. Both he and Beesley looked different players when paired with Rhodes. However, my fear is that NC will stubbornly stick with 3-5-2 rather than 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. This also applies to Apter who should be wide right in a 4-4-2 and not a...

The Summer Transfer thread - Part 1.

At best he should be a squad player like Thorniley is at Oxford. If NC is staying then we need a true, tall left-sided CH who can bring the ball out. I would get in the queue for Bosun Lawal on loan from Celtic if he is available, they may consider he is capable of breaking through into their...

    Surprising New Spate of Injuries

If that is true then it is scandalous and shows a total lack of football intelligence at the club.

    Surprising New Spate of Injuries

It's unbelievable how many of our players are injured in training. I mean it's the end of the season and the players should be at their peak fitness wise should only be doing light sessions or set-pieces.

    Karamoko Dembele 🍊

I know a lot of people will disagree but you have to say Critchley played a big part in re-igniting his career. The talent was obvious from his first appearance but he needed his fitness building up slowly before he could be fully unleashed. I would be amazed if he's not at a Championship club...

    Joseph

He's been played mainly on the left of three which I don't think suits his game. He's young, will get better and maybe needs a coach who believes in him.

A simple graphic that shows the chances of the Pool making the playoffs!

I actually think it's a good thing that there is going to be a big crowd and they'll will come out to play. Portsmouth away was one of our best performances and the Madjeski is a big cavernous stadium and has all the atmosphere of the Moon when it is half full. The fact that we have to win is...
