I’ve seen nothing to suggest we’ll be any better next year. I actually fear the players we’ll be losing on a free we won’t be replacing to the same calibre.

There’s no doubt Byers has much more quality and we look a better team with him in it. Morgan was awful when he came on Tuesday, granted just like the rest of the team. But off the bench Carey is a better option if you’re wanting to change a game anyway.

You’d like to think we can compete with Barnsley surely. You could perhaps forgive losing out to Portsmouth but surely we can attempt to outmuscle Barnsley.

Behave. Far worse players have had songs than Jimmy. He’s our longest serving player and hardly ever lets us down. We are a worse team without him in it.
