Players who have found a rich vein of form after leaving BFC

Yeah… about that particular stick you’re beating Critchley with…

    The Silence is Deafening.......

Current contracts aren’t up, current season isn’t over, teams in the leagues for next season aren’t finalised and the transfer window isn’t actually even open. Im not overly surprised it’s currently quite quiet - my problem is that when it *shouldnt* be quiet - we still are

Might Critch surprise us with his hated system?

Squads no more decimated than any club ever is at this time of the season - certainly in League One. Fans are ficke. First game of the season fans will be 100% onboard come what may. The fans certainly aren’t going to drag us downwards! Sadler Charge - club says it’s nothing to do with the...

Malauray Martin signed for us… supposedly as I’m not sure we ever actually saw him… went on to have a long nomadic career. Lillestrom, Middlesbrough, Hearts and Palermo to name a few !

Players who have found a rich vein of form after leaving BFC

Marvin Zeegelar on loan at aged 23 from Elasigspor… played twice, did nothing. Disappears back to Turkey, does a stint in Portugal, gets a move to Sporting Lisbon and ends up the Dutch national team at age 26.

We had Ian Harte briefly, who then went on to play brilliantly at Carlisle, get a move Reading, win the Championship and then do similar with Bournemouth. He did nothing for us.

Might Critch surprise us with his hated system?

I’ll bite. How do you come to that conclusion? We missed out on the playoffs on the final day of the season. We ended the season with a good run of form. There’s nothing to say we’re going to struggle next year - given we never struggled this year. Surely even if Critchley had shagged your wife...

    Will....

The sort of signing you can’t really argue with. Decent pedigree, experience of the league, plenty of games at a young age and room to improve. Seems to chip in with assists and the odd goal too. I’d be happy. The sort of profile of player Critchley brought in first time around to great success.

    The Jordan Rhodes saga

Contacts typically run until the end of June. Currently he’s another clubs player. A club that’s in the same league as us next season and may well be wondering if he’s worth an additional year or not - given in 6 months he was by far the most productive forward in the League they’re about to be in !

    Tyler Blackett.

That many players through the door during this era we probably had half the EFL on our books at one point !!

    Tyler Blackett.

Was this not the lad behind the ‘we’re gonna lose again’ pic - before a game !! Also… 30 year old released by Rotherham… goes against any sort of building for the future plan. I’m a realist and considered unambitious by some on here - but even I would struggle to be even remotely happy with...

    Did your family go tangerine?

Grandad was a tangerine and at Wembley in 53 (I’ve got his ticket stub and a commemorative letter opener - which is an odd one) and I understand his dad and grandad before him were Seasiders going back to pre-tangerine times! Interesting is that my partner isn’t a football fan (although is now...

Danny Cowley on what happened with Colby Bishop

The leader of men and ever charismatic Michael Appleton… Tbf I wouldn’t have wanted to play for him either ! I know one thing for certain - Holloway wouldn’t have done that. I doubt very much Critchley would either.
