The problem is not the system but how it was played. Too often we had three central defenders leaving it to each other to mark one centre forward in the box. Or letting us be outnumbered and outflanked on the wings. whether we like it or not Critch needs to get it to work better next season.

We had 3 centre backs against a false number 9 and were outnumbered everywhere else. 4 3 3 with proper full backs and wide men wou!d have made more sense. No one individually played...
