Could be the smart move. See what he can do, no long term contract to cancel in the summer, let Evo finish his job off at Barrow.

No, loose end. Sorry. I do wonder if after paying Larry off Sadler will think twice about handing out another 2/3 year contract.

I'm not disputing that, but asking someone to do it on a trial basis, if we're aiming for the best person available, wouldn't be the kind of scenario that would entice a potentially sought after manager.

What if Jones gets a 2/3 year contract and by April we are realising he's lost the plot at Stoke and we want Evatt? Does Sadler pay Jones off?

You're beginning to sound like Karl..... except he at least offered 12 month rolling contracts, not 3 month ones!

So what you're saying is bring in Evatt, and let him sign all his Barrow players for a combined fee of about 3 quid, on an average wage of about £400 a week.

I can't see how this couldn't work like a dream.

I’m getting less and less information now which indicates something is close.

my guess they’re down to two or maybe three.
