That was some line-up! Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley were my introduction to music owing to my brother who’s 10 years my elder, great stuff.Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, The Nashville Teens, The Animals, Gene Vincent and Bo Diddley at the Bolton Odeon 1963 all for 70p(14 shillings) . There was less than 100 there.
Set me off loving music which I do to this day

Remember Bob Geldof shouting "Have we any Blackpool fans in".....big cheer.
Then "Anyone from Preston" minor squeak.

That's why I didn't own up to Peters & Lee on the North Pier, summer 1974.Something really obscure or cool and definitely nothing embarrassing, those are the AVFTT rules for these threads.
Boast of the thread for me.Cream at the Jig Saw club in Manchester circ 1967
Couldn’t get in the Twisted Wheel to see Isaac Hayes so ended up in this small club listening to an unheard of group containing Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker - what a result!
Ended up years later at their farewell concert at the Albert Hall
Sure it was the 6th Form ballYeah think the Buzzcocks was late 78
Not sure but the Lurkers gig was in 79, they left the stage after a few songs because of the amount of stuff being thrown at them.Sure it was the 6th Form ball
The more I think, the more certain I am. It was the one that Pete Shelley stopped signing 'Ever Fallen...' and gave his 'all you Seasiders down there doing that when I'm up here signing songs about people who love each other, you XXXX me up, yo really do' speech. Not sure but the Lurkers gig was in 79, they left the stage after a few songs because of the amount of stuff being thrown at them.
He did stop singing because of the seasiders chanting, I remember that. The more I think, the more certain I am.
