Bottom 6, avoiding relegation hopefully. I don't see several of our summer signings and some of last season's players prospering in this league.play our best team. last season in div 1 we were able to interchange players, without any noticeable difference in the overall performance of the team, this season the Championship is such a huge difference in class that we will not be able to do this, against Cardiff, and Bristol, (until the late substitutions) this tactic was found badly wanting, if we recognise and play our best eleven players regularly, ( not withstanding injury) we will be ok, and may even be pushing for top six,
Don't think it is. Home on the 14th Sept is the first. Hope this link works.Anyone know if its on sky match choice?
All midweek championship matches should be on the red button I believeAnyone know if its on sky match choice?
Finally some actual sense comes from 62! Well done sir.Bottom 6, avoiding relegation hopefully. I don't see several of our summer signings and some of last season's players prospering in this league.
Bowler and Lavery deserve to start and Ekpiteta should be in too. Critchley needs to select his best in form players so that we can compete.
I'm never afraid to express an opinion or to respond to deliberate baiting. Up the Pool. Finally some actual sense comes from 62! Well done sir.
I hope, judging by NCs recent comments about not being able to play the same players constantly that we will be seeing a team more like the one that did Middlesbrough over midweek.
Wonder if, on their forum, they are worried about any of our players?Coventry won’t be push overs - O’Hare for them is is a great player whilst they’ve Waghorn as well - we’re going to have to compete well in midfield so they don’t boss us as they have some strength there.
On Saturdays showing, no.Wonder if, on their forum, they are worried about any of our players?
There’s a comment that it’s a tough place to come to on there, hopefully they’re right.Wonder if, on their forum, they are worried about any of our players?
Judging by the difference between Middlesbrough and Cardiff games, NC doesn’t always know best. And by his own admission he got it wrong against Cardiff, changes in formation and personnel needed tonight.Loving the higher standard, did anybody really think we wouldn't struggle, we have moved massively in the right direction on and off the pitch, in some ways we need to catch ourselves up. We need to past it far better in terms of sharpness and speed that is how you get road the big physical sides that litter this division. I would have had Marv in versus Cardiff as we new how big they are. But NC knows best for me. Enjoy the ride cannot wait to get the TTV on later!!
It's crazy isn't it, after the Cardiff game I looked at the fixtures to see when our next "easy game" is. It reminded me of Holloway's joke about when they claimed we'd only get 11 points and he said something along the lines of "I couldn't believe it when they said we'd only get 11 points, then I looked at the fixtures and I thought bloody hell, where we gonna get 11 points from here?"Loving the higher standard, did anybody really think we wouldn't struggle, we have moved massively in the right direction on and off the pitch, in some ways we need to catch ourselves up. The main difference was that Boro played a young reserve side and sat off us. Gave us a false sense of security.Judging by the difference between Middlesbrough and Cardiff games, NC doesn’t always know best. yep, excellent post. It's all right trying to play [safe] possession football but there has to be some sort of end product. Need to do it at a higher tempo as you say. All this slow sideways possession football along the back four is doing is frustrating our forward players who are trying to make runs both forwards, sideways and dropping a bit deeper but way more often than not the ball just isn't played forward. Needless to say we also have to have that midfield player in space and wanting the ball too.Loving the higher standard, did anybody really think we wouldn't struggle, we have moved massively in the right direction on and off the pitch, in some ways we need to catch ourselves up. It did, but success breeds confidence. A similar line up with a couple of tweeks may have made the difference. Instead of playing the majority of the old guard, who start to think they only have to turn up to be selected. The main difference was that Boro played a young reserve side and sat off us. Yeah I was surprised that he left CJ in the team from the week before, at least. Would be amazed if he starts tonight. And I would expect Lavery to start. Bowler and lavery in for J-J and CJ.It did, but success breeds confidence. A similar line up with a couple of tweeks may have made the difference. I thought he was hopeless. There's letting play flow and there's letting anything go.Andy Woolmer referee again tonight. Wasn't overly impressed with him against Cardiff.
Ward was our best player on Saturday, probably. Kenny didn't look ready to me. Yates should stay in IMO.
Shit your right, completely missed ward, he deserves to keep his place for sure. I was wrong lol!Ward was our best player on Saturday, probably. Kenny didn't look ready to me. Yates should stay in IMO.

Obviously Cardiff are a higher standard than the physical, long ball teams in League 1but I thought they were worse to watch than any team I saw play in our division last season.Loving the higher standard, did anybody really think we wouldn't struggle, we have moved massively in the right direction on and off the pitch, in some ways we need to catch ourselves up. The ref on Saturday suited Cardiff, it wasn't missing the possible handball that would've given us a penalty, or not giving a red when our man was dangerously and cynically chopped down when he got ahead of them, it was his general management of the game that was the problem, massively favoured Cardiff and allowed them to thrive with anti-football.There are many standards of ref and many are only poor or average, hopefully getting better as we move up the leagues however the constant whinging on here tires me , the endless criticisms which are predictable and always at their peak when we lose.
Sometimes the poorer decisions favour us sometimes not but according to many moaners on here they never do or only the ones that go against us are mentioned with the exception of a few more balanced posters, credit to them .
Just accept refs decisions for what they are. They will likely even out over the whole season.
You're wrong, what has Ward done wrong? Just seen Voyeur post, you don’t need telling twice!

It's also been proven that incorrect referee decisions don't even out they massively favour the bigger clubs.
Hear hear!Obviously Cardiff are a higher standard than the physical, long ball teams in League 1but I thought they were worse to watch than any team I saw play in our division last season.
Never engaged in a period of passing the ball themselves, if we got forward with the ball they would either do the little technical fouls or just scythe our players down if necessary!
All about long throws and set pieces and never letting the game flow, all teams entitled to play however they see fit but I begrudge saying they were a higher standard.
I'll give them a higher standard of shit housery! Didn't think Bristol City were very good either and if we had more of our players available I think we could have beaten them.
