Me too.Hope he's not a regular on here
Maybe Geords would like to help the police with their enquiries

Totally agree. There will have been quite a few there who’d had a bit to drink but that does not excuse someone actively deciding to purchase fireworks for the sole purpose of setting them off in a crowd of people just wanting to celebrate their teams achievements. It could so easily have been a child who picked it up. This just sounds like someone trying to deflect blame.Indeed. Goes back to a key point I made yesterday. Irrespective of how the actual injury occurred, it's an undeniable fact that unless the guy brought the 'banger' himself, his injuries wouldn't have happened if someone else hadn't 'enabled' it to get to within close enough proximity of him for this to be an issue.
tweeting 'Can’t believe some geezer had his fingers blown off' suggests he probably is a bit of a shit stirrerYes, i know Geords, hes a good lad and he aint a shit stirrer. I wasnt there on sunday though, so i cant pass comment on the accident.
Why ?, a geezer did get his fingers blown off. Its a factual statement. I know Geords personaly and hes a top bloke.tweeting 'Can’t believe some geezer had his fingers blown off' suggests he probably is a bit of a shit stirrer
Do you know if your mate is helping the police with their inquiries into this incident in response to their appeal for witnesses? Why ?, a geezer did get his fingers blown off. Its a factual statement. I know Geords personaly and hes a top bloke.
He certainly comes across as a lovely lad.Why ?, a geezer did get his fingers blown off. Its a factual statement. I know Geords personaly and hes a top bloke.
No idea, but im sure he would if needed.Do you know if your mate is helping the police with their inquiries into this incident in response to their appeal for witnesses?
I don’t think he is being vilified and my question was genuine. You’re right most people don’t know what happened but it has become a police matter now and they have appealed for witnesses. No idea, but im sure he would if needed.
May i just add, im merely defending a pal who may not be here to defend himself, before he is villified by the AVFTT baying mob, Most of whom (myself included) have no idea what exactly happened leading to the terrible incident.
Further proof, if any were ever needed that fireworks + alcohol + crowds are a recipe for disater.
The lad who lost his fingers has my deepest sympathy and well wishes regardless of how or why it happened, and if he picked it up to stop it exploding near children as stated on other threads, then he is a hero in my book.
It's not on a football forum, it's actually on twitter bang underneath the Gazette published article"Slander and libel" on a football forum??? u must be a prick or an oyston.
Err - yes you can be prosecuted for libel if you make defamatory comments on a football forum or Twitter."Slander and libel" on a football forum??? u must be a prick or an oyston
Not if you were in a crowd to be fairTo be honest I would imagine this is nearer to the truth. Why even pick it up. Surly your instinct would be to kick it.
I didn't see it however I was in the vicinity - he was in a crowdAre you positive it was in a crowd. Were you there, have you seen cctv footage.
Fair enough Tim, it’s just it comes across a bit, pissed up, showing off, misjudged, bang. My instinct would be either kick it or immediately pull back my son from potential danger. Not if you were in a crowd to be fair
Give up the stirring - just for onceDid you see it thrown ? Was Phil in the vicinity ?
Did you see it thrown ? Was Phil in the vicinity ?
Spot on and he won’tYes i was i was about 6 ft away when is fingers and thumb were blown off
Did i see if it the air bomb was thrown then the answer is no, but does it really matter it was set off near a crowd of people including children
My 10 year old boy was right in front of the explosion and he hasn't slept for 2 days
So if you have any more snide comments to make contact me directly
I didn't suggest anyone should sue the bloke, I just said where his comments were. I mean it's hardly cricket digging out a fellow supporter in that way under the article either really, especially when you've only viewed what went on from a distance. Saying nothing might have been more apt don't you think?Nah your right football fans on twitter or comments on the gazette article let's get em in the courts... Fuck off dodge and take bfc with you.
Im not stirring, just so much bull comes from a certain section of this board is unbelievable and when you query it they get angry, Frothing at the mouth some of them, all sticking up for eachother (some would put them first before their kids). We all know of the life changing injury Tam and hope the crowdfunder raise a significant sum to help him medically or financially if he cant resume his trade in the future, my posts have nothing to do with that just the truth about the bomb, which even the police will sruggle to sort with all these lies flying about. There, get angry folk.Give up the stirring - just for once
It's unbecoming when someone has suffered life changing injuries
People got angry because you made comment slating the lad without any understanding of how he had been hurt. Also in my case you went on to make the most unbelievable and totally unfounded accusation, based on nothing.Im not stirring, just so much bull comes from a certain section of this board is unbelievable and when you query it they get angry, Frothing at the mouth some of them, all sticking up for eachother (some would put them first before their kids). You called the injured lad an idiot and then you followed that up by a completely unfounded accusation that I break the law. I'm not sure whether you spent the day off your tits on some kind of drugs, but quite where you managed to pull that from is beyond me.So I called someone a silly idiot before any details were out wow. Yet the same people dont pull up the liars and you dont expect an apology from them.
People like yourself are the reason this forum is not half as busy as it once was. Nothing but snide, nit picking, pedantic shitty comments. You are clearly a sad lonely person with nothing better to do.Im not stirring, just so much bull comes from a certain section of this board is unbelievable and when you query it they get angry, Frothing at the mouth some of them, all sticking up for eachother (some would put them first before their kids). As for pulling up liars, in any incident that happens quickly and in a crowded situation, there are bound to be different perspectives. Eye witness accounts are renowned for being unreliable, which is why people shouldn't be publicly digging out
