There's a chunk of people on here who have attacked her since she first started going out with Harry. Remember the denials about it because she was black at the time.

There is plenty of coverage of this in the Sunday Times today.

I think it might be nice if people didn't fixate on her race and instead looked at the way she and her husband have behaved. But it is their own bridges they are burning, I suppose, so perhaps it is just best to let them get on with it. By the time William has grandchildren they will be the Royal equivalent of QPR anyway.

I get why he hates his family and wants to drag them down. But I think it is cowardly the way he has done it. In a palatial setting thousands of miles away when all around him and the people he is supposed to represent are going through a terrible ordeal. But the Harry and Megan soap opera has given us all some escapism from the flaming pandemic.

What defines her as a black woman wiz ? Her mother is a Black woman and her father is a white man. Does his DNA not count Or is it just ignored as it doesn’t suit the narrative. As far as I can see she’s a woman of mixed race origin.

It seems to me the tabloids are doing a very good job of stoking the division amongst us all into Harry and Meghan or Royal Family supporters on this issue to distract attention away from themselves.
They are right at the heart of the causes, the divisions and the dragging out of this whole saga IMO.

Yes, you might be able to. Get an Ancestry DNA test and find out where your gene groupings come from. It’s not a precise DNA test, but the DNA sequences are quite indicative. Plenty of people are surprised by having significant percentages of middle Europe, Scandinavian, African, and even Arab. Less so South American for us, but that is important for the Spanish.

Most of us don’t know our family history any further back than our great-grandparents. Given a generation is about 30 years it only takes half a dozen generations going back before your unknown ancestor could have worked on a slave plantation in the Caribbean. So you might only have 1/32nd of African genes but you could still consider yourself mixed race. How black? It’s up to you. That goes for all of us, by the way.

Looks like you can identify as anything you want no matter what your dna. You can be born male and identify as female, so being half black, you can identify as black or white. It’s a strange old world.
 
Trumpy-Wump has finally contributed to the Royal Rumble. He has come out (or been outed) as saying “I told you Meghan is no good”. I’m too stupid to be a contrarian Baz.
I wasn't talking about the census form btw just making a general point that MM is mixed race. She may feel that she identifies more with her historical Black culture, roots and values etc and that’s cool however she is mixed race

My Grandad was Scottish as it happens but I have never felt that strange desire to mention it every ten ** minutes that some have.....you know the ones who say something like “My Great Great Grandad was Scottish so I’m a quarter Scottish”......yes, they always get the Maths wrong too! 😁

It always makes me laugh that English people (nearly always blokes) want to claim to be part Irish or Scottish (never Welsh funnily enough?). Nothing wrong with the Scottish and Irish folks or the Welsh lads and lasses btw but why the need to claim you are a part one of them .......it smacks of insecurity and a desire to be perceived as more interesting and mysterious somehow.
