I just wanted to give the lad some praise for yesterdays performance as, for some reason, he comes under a bit of stick from some.

He is a raw talent but we knew that but when he actually gets to start a game you can see what he brings to the team and how he is going to improve over time and I think, will be a very important player for us.

He started a bit slowly yesterday but once he got into the pace of the game and settled down he put in a really good, hard working performance. He doesn't try and hide, he is always there and he fight for the ball and when he does get it he has a turn of pace and some skill to go past his man. It doesn't always work and he can run into trouble but the fact he has Critch as his coach is only going to help in with every training session.

His cross for our first goal yesterday was absolutely fantastic, and he knew exactly where he was putting it and that Yates was coming in at the far post. He may be a work in progress but he is going to be a fans favourite in the not too distant future. I would like him to start a few more games as I'm not sure 10 or 15 minutes as a sub gives him enough time.

Totally agree, he also has strength in abundance and an eye for a pass, game time will give him confidence, and yesterday’s assist won’t do him any harm .

There’s definitely a player in there somewhere.

Needs a run in the team wide of a midfield 4.

I’d be annoyed if we just loan him out, balance the squad out (which means making some tough decisions on players), have him, Mitchell, CJ and maybe Garbutt competing for those wide spots and I can see him coming on leaps and bounds.

Need to get him involved further forward. The first goal was a classic example of that. When he picks up the ball on half way I always get a bit nervous ‘cause he seems to want to try to do something that’s never really likely to come off and risks putting us under pressure.

To be clear this is for the manager and his teammates to work on as much as the lad himself.

The thing is we have an abundance of talent and I have to say I wouldn't want the likes of Bez, Mitchell, Kaikai, Anderson, Gabriel, or Garbutt playing against us. Any other league 1 club would love to have one of those players in their team.

If indeed there is a player there, he will need some starts to prove that. Coming off the bench, he doesn’t seem to do well. One game he came on, his first touch was just showing for a throw and booted the ball out of play when he was trying to return it to the thrower.
Another game, he came on and inexplicably missed 3 free headers - I’ve never seen anything like it at professional level.
Yesterday was a massive improvement but still not sure.

There has to be a reason that we paid money for him. He was highly rated at Crawley and their fans weren't happy he was going.
I just dont think we have seen that side of him yet and the only way we will is if he starts playing regularly. With Kaikai not being on form he should be getting more of a look in.
Hopefully yesterday was just the start and he just gets better from here.

I think we are starting to see what he's got in his locker & I've had my doubts. Hope he continues in this direction. On the team front I really didn't have much confidence in us pulling off that win yesterday, but it does show there is life without CJ & perhaps that in itself is taking a little time to adjust to. Just need to put this into practice against the league 1 clogger's now, as we seem to have the measure of the more football orientated sides.

He must be catching the eye in training to be given a start.
He's obviously still raw but I like his energy and enthusiasm. If his skills can be harnessed and he is receptive to being coached and developed he could be a bit special.

He’s very raw. But I believe if NC is given chance to coach him he will become a very dangerous player for us. He’s a physical boy so up the knowledge level and skill and he will be an asset.

Honestly don’t know what you guys are seeing. I hope he does come good but I’m not convinced. He had a good start at Crawley last season but performances fell away. Not seen anything from him in his appearances so far to suggest he deserves a regular start in our team but then I’m not at the training ground everyday I suppose

He might come good but no way is ahead of those who are getting pickled in that position yet.
Apart from the assist for the goal he was a 5/6 out of 10 where as Ward/Dougall where a 7/8 and no way did I think he defo needs to start against Hull.

If I had to pick one player in our squad who actually fits the ‘development’ tag then it’s this lad. Big Marv has already developed but this lad needs time, and appearances in games we are not already losing in. I think he has something about him.

Glad to see a thread on Bez. Younger than most think, raw but the Bez has a bit of a buzz about him. Has ghosted past 2 or 3 players in games, helluva shot on him and a bit clever with his feet. Raw he certainly is and that is largely one of the reasons we were able to get him.
A few more lengthy run outs , hopefully a decent performance or two , hopefully a goal and then see what sort of player he is . Big Marv had to play a few games to convince quite a few of us

Reminds me a bit of Bright OS
Bright OS scoring some stunning goals and is theChampionship King of the dribble!
Hopefully he’s due a move to a big club and Pool will cash in.
Bez is improving but personally I’m happy when I see Cj and Kaikai on the team sheet

He is raw but does have pace & power. He is not an out and out speed merchant like CJ but he could become a useful option if he starts to add more goals and assists.

Glad he played well on Saturday, raw talent as others have said, if possible he needs a run in the starting eleven to get his confidence and match sharpness up, just hope we have the time and inclination to play him.

Bez has raw ability but lacks composure and experience, that is where NC and his coaches come in, some players just adapt to L1 football, others need a little more time. We have to factor in a change of location amidst this pandemic, for all we know he could be miles away from his family and friends. Give the lad a little time and hopefully he will come good.

Didn’t Matt Phillips get similar comments when he started to play in the first team, I seem to remember his home debut was against Blackburn Rovers and people were impressed with his raw ability but agreed he needed time to develop?

He turned out OK ?

Yeah maybe, I thought the same earlier but for me Matt Phillips had better ability at his age than Bez does.

Doesn't mean he won't come along but Phillips was a very very good player for us.
