The Hull Gap

Impossible to underestimate how huge the 3 points from the Hull game were.
The squad must now believe they can beat anyone in this league and that automatic promotion is achievable.
If we'd lost and gone 13 points behind Hull things would have felt very different.

Sadly I'm pretty sure the season will get suspended soon, and ultimately cancelled again.

Pompey, Sunderland, Bristol Rovers, Ipswich Town and Peterborough all have multiple covid cases and expected postponed games now. That number expected to increase. 👎

Sadly I think you could be right

If Tier4 is effectively locked down and they're talking about it likely being extended, how can they possibly allow football teams, who keep getting outbreaks of covid, to keep travelling all over the country?

Think Halifax is spot on. Can't see it getting completed in any shape or form . Will end up null and void like NWCL last season.

No wonder the mutation is all over the country. I suspect we need to reduce human interaction to an absolute minimum for a spell right now. Desperate measures, stop movement, close schools and everything that's not absolutely essential, and vaccinate the **** out of the population. Boris is consistently too slow to act. I think. I appreciate the difficulties and the balances that need to be kept but at certain times you need to take decisive action and it doesn't appear to be his thing. He gets round to it a couple if weeks too late.

You can travel for work even in tier 4.
I know. But if there's a need to minimise transmission, there's a huge difference between a van driver going from place to place and dropping stuff off socially distantly, and two groups of 20+ players plus all the entourage, media etc all converging at one place for two or three hours. Despite the social distancing and outdoors stuff, the longer you are in the same area as someone infected, the more likely it is to be spread. And if the new strain is more easily transmissible...
