Daniel Ballard signs

Northern Ireland international from Arsenal. I'll take it. 6 ft 2 and will know how to play football.

And can play defensive mid.

Welcome to the seaside Daniel. Now add Tilt and we're good to go.
I like Tilt and a fully focused Tilt would walk into the team.
However, I sense Critchley doesn't like to go back to players that have already been here. Rightly or wrongly he's building a team of entirely his own choice of players except Maxwell perhaps.

Thank fook for that!

Hopefully he is as good as we all hope.

Looks to be a good ball playing CB.. must have something about him to get an international call up

He went on loan to Swindon last season but then got injured in August hence only playing 1 game!

UTMP!

Is he in the current NI squad?

Because if he is we aren't gonna see him for a couple of weeks, they've got 3 games lined up between now and next Weds........

I agree but the Tilt rumour hasn't come out of no where. Nixon doesn't often get things wrong. So it clearly wouldn't be a shock. I think the first game have shook Critchely. I think he felt him Ekipeta and Nottingham were the answer. Now I feel he's lost confidence in Nottingham so wouldn't be shocked to see Nottingham go to Crewe and Tilt come in.

Very pleased with this news. He sounds a quality signing certainly ay league one level. We could just not go on with the centre halves whom began the season.

I have a feeling we might have seen the last of The Sheriff.
Ballard was under 21 on 1 Jan 2020 so I don't think he counts in the squad of 22.
Can't remember the rules for the wage cap.

Knowing our luck at present he will probably twist his sock in the warm up to his first match. Welcome aboard the crazy club young man!!

Sorry to be a bit glass half empty but he really isn’t the experienced old head centre half we need right now.

sounds like the lad has a great future we need an old wise head right now.

They are players who are already here, not players who have left and may come back which was the point I was making.
And even with those, let's see how many are in the team come the end of the season. Of the six you named only two got a game on saturday.

If he's experienced enough to play as a full international for NI he's experienced enough to play in League 1.

The lad has played one competitive league 1 game in his career. He must be a fast learner !!!

not sure who he’s keeping out the NI squad but can’t see there being a lot of choice.

Sure the lad will be a good addition but he is not what we need. We need an experienced seasoned leader who can Marshall the team and read the game.

To be fair if you are old enough you are good enough and Ballard may be a natural leader. Tony Adams and John Terry were both very young when they made their debuts but they were already seen as future leaders
