RHODES STAYING

We've got a 25 - 30 goal striker now confirmed for the rest of the season. That is priceless (or usually very expensive!).

Hopefully get some decent additions to the squad and we can have a promotion push, we know where the goals are coming from now, we just need some additional quality.

Typically pretty good at those second half of the season runs us..
 
Yep it made little sense to go back, not many of their fans were calling for it that I saw.

He didn't really fit how they play and wouldn't have been given the same run of games.
 
It’s good news but let’s not be complacent. The goal is promotion or at the very least to be in the playoffs and thus far we have proven ourselves to be tactically and personnel wise incapable of either . We need to fix that this January.

At least we kept hold of Rhodes against all the odds, though, eh? 😉

In his interview with Radio Lancs, Critch says he found out he was staying yesterday morning. The club wasn't in a rush to break the good news, was it?!

Around Wycombe's place, 14 points off the playoff spots.

Further positive transfer window news required for better league away form.

Only then would promotion look possible.

......and had he announced it yesterday and some unknown hitch had scuppered the deal then you would have slagged them off for building our hopes up.
You just can’t please some people.

And you could say if Grimshaw had not made those saves we would be bottom, sorry but football doesn't work like that to many if's and but's, we are we are because of the team not solely because of Rhodes's goals.
